Fangfare is an alien used by Ben Tennyson with the Unlimited Omnitrix. He appears in Ben 10: Beyond Bellwood and originates from the Friendship is Magic universe.

Appearance

Fangfare is a red humanoid reptile, superficially resembling a dragon from western mythology. Green spines run up and over the middle of his scalp. He has a pronounced snout with sharp fangs. Starting at his lower jaw and moving down his stomach is a lighter, softer orange portion. He has a pair of large featherless wings on his back. He has green eyes.

The Omnitrix symbol is placed on a metal brace around his neck.

Powers and Abilities

Fangfare's primary combat utility is his mystic dragonfire- an expression of Equestrian Magic mostly unique to the dragons that live there. Bright green and 'sticky', it burns much colder than oxygen-based fires and carries much more force of momentum. It is much less likely to start an uncontrolled burn than Heatblast's fires but is still effective in a fight. Notably it was able to hurt Kevin 11 despite him being part Pyronite- indicating the damage inflicted by the dragonfire is not physical.

Fangfare is capable of flight. He is much more agile and nimble than Chromastone, but far slower and less manoeuvrable than Jetray. Additionally this flight is self-propelled and requires him to flap his wings, rather than the seemingly magical levitation of the former two aliens.

Weaknesses

The true nature of Fangfare remains largely unknown to Ben as he did not pay much attention to the character this alien was sampled from while he was in the Friendship is Magic Universe.

History

This alien was first unlocked in Death in the Everfree, where it was scanned from Spike the baby Dragon when Ben was attempting to earn a pardon from his wrongful arrest earlier that day.

Fangfare was not used until The Other Ben, where the alien was forced onto Ben by the broken Unlimited Omnitrix. He transformed mid-flight from Jetray and fought Kevin 11. He was named through a combined effort between Other Ben and Ben Prime. He was changed into Buzzshock before long.
