Everybody Talks About the Weather is the twenty-first episode of Omniverse: At Night.
Plot[]
The episode begins with a flashback sequence five years before Omniverse: At Night. The sky was dark, and Ben was drawing Ishiyama and Kenko in his little sketchpad, while Sandra and Carl were watching TV in the living room. The wind was howling, almost as if a tornado had formed, but the wind was not casted naturally. Somewhere in downtown Bellwood, three robotic humanoids named The Weatherheads would use their technological expertise and create their own storms from a device they had created, the flashback ends with them being congratulated on their work by Sunny.
The next scene opens to an Undertown chase between Ben, Rook and a pack of Vreedles, those being the Vreedle Brothers, Ma Vreedle and her Pretty Boy clones. Ben complains how they had been doing this overnight, as he would transform into Water Hazard in order to slip them all up. This plan works, as they soon crash into Pakmar's China Shop, destroying it entirely. Pakmar jumps out of the main and rages at Ben and Rook, as well as the Vreedles for destroying his store, knowing that he'd have to run a new business because of these stupid actions. Before the group of Vreedles could escape, a group of Plumbers swoop in with bubble wrap, which ultimately distracts them. With the Vreedles then taken into custody, Ben wishes to head back home, as Rook takes him back to Ben's house, before driving off to Plumber HQ.
Ben goes to sleep after being greeted by his parents, who claim to worry about Ben's constant "fighting bad guys" routine. Within a few hours, Ben is woken up by sounds of harsh hailstones slamming down on his bedroom window as well as the roof. Wishing to investigate the harsh weather conditions, as well as hearing nearby muttering, Ben transforms into Chamalien as he turns intangible before climbing on the ceiling and making his way onto the roof. He is introduced to the Weatherheads, as they would discuss about sending Bellwood into a global freeze. With Shock-O tripping over Chamalien, the others assume he just tripped over a stone, as they would jump down from the roof, making their escape, unaware that Ben was spying on them.
The morning rises as Ben was sitting down in the living room with Sandra and Carl, who were wondering all the chattering was last night, as Ben would lie and claim it was just some guys making jokes and noise, with Sandra believing it. Ben soon leaves as he goes to chill with Rook, who was in the weapon testing room with Blukic and Driba. With Ben arriving at Plumber HQ with his car, Ben wishes to test a machine with the two Galvans, who tell him that no weapons were in need of testing. Ben tells Rook that he had spied on a set of villains, who he hadn't seen before. He explains that they were robotic humanoids, who were the cause of the dramatic weather changes, like the heavy hailstones from last night. Suddenly, alarms began to go off, as Max would run into the weapon testing room and tell them that the Weatherheads were causing mass destruction in Bellwood. With Ben and Rook exiting Plumber HQ, the scene transitions to downtown Bellwood, where the Weatherheads were smashing cars and causing damage. They are suddenly shot further down by Rook's Proto-Tool, as Ben transforms into Lodestar. Lodestar begins to use his magnetokinesis as the Weatherheads, who were made of metal, would begin to levitate from the ground. Just as Lodestar was about to ask questions about their identity, Sunny, the Weatherheads' boss, dashes in and tackles the Biot-savartian, as the magnet forcefield wore off, causing the Watherheads to land on their feet.
Sunny would soon fire energy beams at the heroes' direction as Lodestar quick changes into Chromastone, as he'd begin absorbing the energy beams and redirecting them, hitting Sunny entirely. Rook would dash at the Weatherheads, who would flee the scene, initiating a plan to meetup at Antarctica, the coldest continent on Earth in order to build a machine ready for their plan to start. Rook fails to keep them contained, while Chromastone is smacked into a building by Sunny, who makes her escape by flying away, resulting on the Crystalsapien to transform back.
The scene transitions to Antarctica, as the Weatherheads would arrive. Their suitcases would open as it'd reveal their parts to their upcoming machine ready to send Bellwood, as well as the Earth into a global freeze. A few minutes go by, and the machine was finished. Sunny activates the machine, as the ice would begin to spread rapidly. Ice would form over waters as well as some small islands, before making its way to Bellwood. Ben and Rook were walking back to the Proto-TRUK before Rook's feet would get trapped in solid ice. Ben's feet also froze from the ice as he'd transform into Spitter, shooting his slime spit that was acidic enough to melt the ice. With Rook thanking Ben for freeing him from the ice, Spitter (who transforms back after freeing himself from the ice) tells Rook that they need to hurry in order to stop the villains before it's too late.
The scene transitions back to Antarctica, as the four Weatherheads continue to work on their machine, hoping that Weatherhead Prime can notice their work. As soon as Weatherhead Prime lands in the icy continent, Ben and Rook follow along shortly after, exiting the vehicle in shock to see their work. Ben wishes to go with his previous plan as he dials for Lodestar, but with Shock-O firing an electronic blast, that startles Ben, Ben transforms into Buzzshock instead. Buzzshock would look at his hands as he finds out he had transformed into the wrong alien, as he plans to improvise from his previous plan. Buzzshock flies over as he'd aim for the machine in order to shut it down, with Rook complaining about how ice is slippery whilst trying to run in order to fight the Weatherheads. The Nosedeenian makes it to the machine as the Weatherheads would try and stop him by using their abilities, with Buzzshock retaliating with his electrokinesis, seeming to hit them. Gust-O casts a tornado as it collides with Buzzshock, sending him flying as Buzzshock quick changes into Heatblast in order to levitate from the ground by using his pyrokinetic propulsion for flight.
Sunny swings in and tackles the Pyronite who fights back by firing his flame blasts, that smack her. He flies over to Rook and carries him to the machine, telling him to destroy it. With Rook making it to the machine, he was just about to disable it, when Hail-O, Shock-O, Gust-O and Weatherhead Prime surround him, giving him no choice but to fight. Rook activates the spear form on his Proto-Tool as he would tackle against them with the higher ground. Rook would activate the shield as soon as Shock-O would try and attack him by blocking his electric attacks, just before Heatblast would throw Sunny over at the other Weatherheads, all colliding together, before Heatblast would transform back. Eventually Rook would disable the machine, which not only stops the global freezing process, but also reverses the damages.
The scene transitions to the Plumbers taking the Weatherheads all into custody while Ben and Rook are stood with Max, who was not aware of the events that took place. Rook would explain that the Weatherheads planned on freezing over the entire Earth, as Max would sigh with relief, knowing that Ben and Rook were able to stop them in their tracks. The episode ends with Ben and Rook going back into the Proto-TRUK, as Ben wishes to chill at Burger Shack.
