Ectonurites are a ghost/phantom based species from Anur Phaetos in the Anur System. Their Ecto-Lord is Unknown.
Appearance[]
With their second layer of skin, Ectonurites look like a classical ghost with a track for their eye to travel upon.
Without their second layer of skin, Ectonurites look like misshapen horrors. They possess an exposed skull with sparse teeth for a head, only one eye, dark blue skin, exposed bones on certain parts of their bodies, black claws, a big gaping hole in their chest with black and white striped tentacles hanging out, and speak with an eerie, creepy voice. Ectonurites can rotate their heads so they can be upside-down or the right way up. Ectonurites can also develop deformities such as having one arm larger than the other, having three heads, having more than one eye, or having pink lips.
Ectonurites on Anur Transyl usually conceal their faces. Their secondary skins resemble sheets, with patches and stitches commonplace. They also have stitches on their bodies.
When an Ectonurite is at its full power, spikes erupt from its shoulders and its hands, and their teeth and claws grow in size.

Powers and Abilities[]
Ectonurites can make themselves intangible and invisible as both a powerful defense and a way of infiltrating high-security locations. Ectonurites can choose to selectively make parts of themselves corporeal or slightly corporeal. This extended technique can be used to interact with the world or fight while still intangible. It can also be used in a more deadly way by interacting with someone's internal body parts, such as when Ghostfreak caused a stroke by attacking Thumbskull's brain.
Ectonurites are capable of making other objects or people intangible and transparent through physical contact.
Ectonurites able to possess the bodies of their enemies and control their movements to the point where they can cause them to fly like themselves, allowing them to freely slam them against walls or hit themselves. They can also access the abilities of other beings that possess superpowers. In the case of Darkstar, Ghostfreak also had access to his powers once he possessed him.
Ectonurites can possess Florauna, Vladats, Necrofriggians, Atrocians, Polymorphs, Galvanic Mechamorphs, Nanochips, Chronosapiens, and even Celestialsapiens and other Ectonurites.
Ectonurites can completely remove someone's consciousness while possessing them if their willpower is stronger.
Ectonurites can partially pull away their second layer of skin to expose their chest tentacles. These tentacles are useful for grabbing objects, and can grow sharp thorns to increase their lethality.
Ectonurites are capable of flight and levitation, which they can use to soar through the air at high speeds.
Ectonurites have sharp claws, which can easily tear through Vilgax's Mechadroids.
Ectonurites possess enhanced strength, as shown when Ghostfreak used his tentacles to grab a bus full of people, and can throw one of Vilgax's drones with his hands.
Ectonurites have enhanced durability, as Ghostfreak was able to withstand a punch from Kraab, which threw him against a wall.
Ectonurites can survive in the vacuum of space; this feat was also exclusively demonstrated by Zs'Skayr.
Ectonurites are immune to Darkstar's energy absorption ability. This is because Ectonurites do not have mana, as they are not alive in the same conventional way that most other life forms are.
Ectonurites have eerie, glowing eyes that can move around their bodies, which is especially seen when they wear their outer skin.
Ectonurites can see in the dark.
As demonstrated by Zs'Skayr, the tail of an Ectonurite is prehensile.
Ectonurites are capable of telekinesis, shown off by Zs'Skayr while he was still in the Omnitrix, when he used his telekinesis to make flames erupt from Bunsen burners. Ectonurites are also capable of telepathy.
Ectonurites are able to disrupt electronics by phasing through them, as demonstrated by Zs'Skayr.
Ectonurites can make people feel deathly cold by simply moving right through them.
Ectonurites can alter their shape and deform like gas by making themselves into a grey, somewhat transparent smoke-like wispy form. While in this form, they are immune to being absorbed by Gutrot's species.
As demonstrated by Zs'Skayr, Ectonurites can regenerate lost skin.
Ectonurites may be able convert other species into other Ectonurites, where they able to manipulate them into doing what they want.
Ectonurites are able to store small objects under their skin flaps, as demonstrated by Zs'Skayr.
Ectonurites have their consciousness genetically bonded to their DNA. A piece of DNA is all that is needed to re-create the same being entirely.
True Form[]
Ectonurites can project powerful energy beams from either the tentacles in their chests and or their hands whenever their skin is peeled back, as demonstrated by Zs'Skayr.
In their true form, an Ectonurite's telekinesis is greatly enhanced, as they are able to even move an entire pillar without effort.
In their true form, while exposed to total darkness, like that of space, A Ectonurite's powers and abilities would be greatly enhanced to their full potential; this feat was also demonstrated with Zs'Skayr.
Ectonurites can rotate their skulls.
Weaknesses[]
Ectonurites are very vulnerable to sunlight. Furthermore, Ectonurites are vulnerable to the light generation of a Prypiatosian-B and members of Atomix's Species, as demonstrated with Zs'Skayr.
Certain substances can neutralize an Ectonurite's intangibility and invisibility, such as a special orange liquid used by Kraab. It is possible that Gutrot's species can replicate this liquid in a gaseous form.
An Ectonurite's intangibility is useless when faced by another being that can go intangible, as it will cancel out their ability to do so.
An Ectonurite's intangibility seems to require conscious thought to activate, so opponents will be able to harm them if they are caught off-guard, as seen when Ghostfreak got hit by a punching bag that Thumbskull threw at him while he was distracted.
An Ectonurite's possession abilities can be countered. The Omnitrix is capable of protecting its users from Ectonurite possession. As such, Ectonurites cannot merge with Ben or any Omnitrix wielder while they are in one of their alien forms. Even in the wielder's regular form, the Omnitrix is capable of holding off Ectonurites for a short time.
There are certain beings Ectonurites cannot possess. For example, Ectonurites cannot possess zombies due to them lacking minds of their own. they are also unable to possess the Sentient Ultimate forms or Dagon.
Even if an Ectonurite does possess someone, it may be possible for them to reject them out of their body, as shown with Ma Vreedle.
There are a number of weaknesses that an Ectonurite is vulnerable to if they remain tangible and caught off-guard. For example:
- They can be trapped by an Evolved Arachnichimp's webbing.
- They can be immobilized by an Evolved Necrofriggian's ice flames.
- They can be harmed by electricity, such as that generated by Transylians and Conductoids, as demonstrated with Zs'Skayr.
- They can be controlled and hypnotized by Vladats via their Corrupturas, as demonstrated by many Ectonurite residents of Anur Transyl.
Ectonurites cannot survive on Anur Vladias.
Ectonurites can easily be scared by Toepick's species.
Ectonurites can be affected by a Nemuina's sleeping dust.
