Diamondhead is the Omegatrix's DNA sample of Petrosapien from the planet Petropia in the One More Timeline.
Appearance[]
Being a silicon-based life form, Diamondhead's body is composed entirely of pale green/blue crystals, which are of a very tough and durable diamond-like substance. He sports two crystal shards on his back and has a sharp head, a long and developed jaw. He has green (formerly/naturally yellow) eyes and is muscular, with his shoulders and forearms being very developed.
Diamondhead originally wore a sleeveless uniform that was black on the right half and white on the left with a black patch on the left shoulder, was later naked. After he was fused with Chromastone's DNA, Diamondhead's lower body, torso, and the top of his head were similar to Chromastone's, consisting of an indigo rock which has black lines and dots over it. He is also naked due to a glitch in the Omnitrix/Ultimatrix.
However, after Ben gained the new Omnitrix/Omegatrix, Diamondhead gained a new outfit; he currently sleeveless clothing that is all black with one large silver stripe down the middle up to his belt and black pants. He has a silver belt with white stripes and black shoes that are silver on the bottom. Before the Omnitix's upgrade into the Omegatrix, the silver parts of clothing were colored green.
Originally, he wore Prototype Omnitrix symbol on the black patch of his original uniform, on the left pectoral of his chest; it was originally white and grey due to a scratch guard, but became green and black after the scratch guard fell off. After he was unlocked and fused with Chromastone's DNA, he wore the Omnitrix/Original Ultimatrix in the center of his chest. Currently, he wears the Omegatrix symbol on his belt.
Powers and Abilities[]
Crystallokinesis: Diamondhead's body is composed of extremely thick, organic, pale green crystals. He has the ability to manipulate the atomic structure of his physiology at will, allowing him to form his crystals without any limit into any shape he desires. He can either form small crystals, such as crystal projectiles, or crystals as big as a building, and transform his limbs into diamond weapons such as blades and bludgeons. Moreover, he can control all the crystals he generates, to the point that he can make them explode or lift them off the ground. He can fire crystal shards sequentially out of his hands and can explode his body parts into crystalline formations, as well as make crystal constructs grow from his body, the latter of which he used to protect Gwen from a falling tree by making large crystalline spikes quickly grow on his back to cut the tree clean in half and then retract.
- Crystallogenesis: Diamondhead can generate crystals from any part of his body without any limit and at an extremely fast rate. The crystals he makes can come in different shapes or sizes. He can also generate crystals within objects and cause them to spike out, as demonstrated by Tetrax on a Mechadroid.
- Crystal Touch: Diamondhead can make crystals grow over anything or anyone with a simple touch.
- Crystal Sneeze: As seen in "The Secret of Chromastone", Diamondhead can literally sneeze crystal shards, at least when affected by the common cold. It is, however, highly likely that he can do this without being affected by the cold.
- Wall Crawling: Diamondhead can crawl on walls and roofs by generating crystals from the soles of his feet to anchor himself to the surface.
- Crystal Imprisonment: As he did to Malware in "Trouble Helix", Diamondhead can trap various beings in crystal with a single touch or by shooting crystal shards at them.
- Crystal Constructs: Diamondhead can make monstrous and large clusters of crystals, conjuring walls and forming crystal shields and ramps. He can also generate crystals from the ground at a distance, can reshape his projectiles into limited shapes, and can also form gaping hands to capture enemies; all of which are independent from his body. He can also create different objects out of his crystals, such as an anchor on a chain, a crystal board to ride on, as well as boomerang-like throwing weapons, as demonstrated by Tetrax.
- Crystal Surfing: As demonstrated by Tetrax, Diamondhead can create a surf board out of crystal and a giant crystal wave to ride on. These gives him tremendous speed, as Tetrax, while also caring Gwen, managed to outrun a pack of Vulpimancers inside the Omnitrix, despite a single Vulpimancer being able to outrun a cheetah.
- Crystal Weapon Manifestation: Diamondhead can easily shape weapons out of his crystals, such as a sword and a shield. He also tends to transform his arms into blades.
- Sharp Crystal Shard Projectiles: Diamondhead's preferred method of attack is shooting sharp projectiles from his hands. He can shoot them at great speed. These projectiles are strong and sharp enough to destroy thick substances, such as ground and metal. He can choose to form them on his hands and then throw them or to simply launch them from his hands.
- Explosive Projectiles: Diamondhead can choose to detonate his crystal projectiles to cause additional damage, as seen in "Veangence of Vilgax: Part 2".
- Crystalline Shield Generation: Diamondhead is able to create walls, barriers and shields made of crystal.
- Body Alteration: Diamondhead can alter the appearance of his body by growing crystal matter in different places, such as on his back.
- Thorn Manifestation: Diamondhead can form crystal thorns on his body, such as when he formed thorns over his arm when Vilgax's robot tried to tear his arm off.
- Metamorphic Arms: Diamondhead usually prefers to from crystals on and around his arms to transform them into blades.
- Piercing: Diamondhead can use his blade arms to easily pierce metal, as shown by Kevin 11.
- Digging: He can also dig very well into solid surfaces such as the ground, seen when he unearthed Corrodium from under the floor of a building.
- Burrowing: Diamondhead can quickly burrow through the ground.
- Sharp Crystal Claws: Diamondhead can turn his fingers into sharp claws, as briefly seen in "Framed".
- Arm Expansion: Notably without forming more crystals on top, Diamondhead both can extend his arms very far, which allows him to create ramps for others or to propel himself upwards by pushing against the ground, and enlarge them to grab enemies.
Enhanced Strength: Tough not as strong as a Tetramand, Diamondhead is quite strong, being able to drag a cage with a Gracklflint, hold open Slamworm's mouth and break his own crystals. Diamondhead has inhuman physical abilities, enough to easily overpower Vilgax in a one-on-one brawl.
- Enhanced Jump: By focusing the strength in his legs, Diamondhead can jump very high.
Durable Crystal Body: Due to the natural density of crystal, Diamondhead is extremely durable to most weaponry and physical impacts, as he withstood being punched from Galvan Prime all the way to Galvan B by Malgax.
- Pyro-Immunity: Diamondhead is resistant to fire and heat, such as that generated by a Pyronite, much like an ordinary diamond.
- Parasite Immunity: Due to him being made of silicon-based crystals, Diamondhead, like Chromastone, is immune to a Xenocite merging with him.
- Aging Resistance: Because he is made out of crystals that age very slowly, Diamondhead's body is very resistant to time rays that accelerate his aging.
- Decay Resistance: Diamondhead's inability to age makes him, by extension, immune to decay.
- Energy Refraction: Diamondhead's crystalline body resembles a living prism, allowing him to deflect and absorb most energy beams and render weapons similar to lasers useless by simply refracting. Similarly, rays generated by dimensional transporter devices will reflect off of Diamondhead's body.
- Light Refraction: Diamondhead can refract light.
Regeneration: Diamondhead can regenerate, but to a limited extent.
- Limited Limb Regrowth: In "Secrets", Diamondhead accidentally smashed his hands into pieces by trying to pierce Vilgax's armor, tough he was able to regenerate them.
- Pain Immunity: Presumably stemming from his regeneration abilities, Diamondhead showed himself to be immune to pain, such as when he smashed his hands into pieces in Vilgax's armor or when a robot made a deep slash in his forearms in "Grudge Match". Not even being literally torn appart caused him pain, as seen in "The Secret of Cromastone". However, his inability to feel pain is not absolute, as he felt discomfort, if not outright pain, when he was being torn apart and was briefly hurt by Malware's laser beam in "Trouble Helix".
- Super Vitality: His regeneration ability allows him to survive being torn apart. When Diamondhead was put back together, tough in a crude way, and was changed back to Ben, Ben didn't show any ill effects. It is unknown if every Petrosapien can do this or if Diamondhead is a unique case due to the Omnitrix, tough Tetrax himself wasn't worried about what he was doing to Diamondhead, implying that he knew he would survive.
Space Survivability: When Diamondhead was punched from Galvan Prime to Galvan B by Malgax, this incident showed that Diamondhead can survive in the vacuum of space.
Underwater Breath: Diamondhead can survive underwater.
Acid Immunity: Diamondhead is shown to be immune to Acid, such as Slamworm's acidic slime.
Enhanced Reflexes: Despite his muscular and heavy body, Diamondhead possesses enhanced reflexes, as seen when he caught one of Kevin 11's crystal projectiles în "Grudge Match" or when he caught Malware's blaster hand in "Trouble Helix".
Energy Absorption: Uniquely, in "Vendetta", Diamondhead was able to absorb the energy Ragnarok shot at him, much like Chromastone usually does.
- Energy Redirection: Immediately after absorbing Raganrok's energy, he redirected it back at him.
Acrobatics: Diamondhead is shown to be very acrobatic despite his heavy and robust physique.
Sharp Crystal Appendages: The back of Diamondhead's head ends in a sharp point and he also possesses two big and sharp back crystals. These are not the result of his crystalokinesis, but are formed naturally as a part of Diamondhead's body. These features are exclusive to male Petrosapiens.
Marksmanship: In "Framed", Diamondhead demonstrated his keen aim when he shot numerous crystal projectiles directly into the shot holes of the guns of several SECT soldiers without hurting them.
Simultaneous Abilities: Diamondhead can expertly shoot his crystals at his targets due to his marksmanship. He also created crystal shields from his arms to protect himself against Slamworm's acidic slime despite already being immune to it.
Glowing Eyes: Seen in the original series, Diamondhead's eyes can glow.
Weaknesses[]
Sonic Vibrations: Diamondhead is especially weak to sonic vibrations, such as from a Loboan's sonic howls, or an Hyper Sonorosian's Sonic Discs, both of which can render him unconscious. Tetrax also used a vibrating device to completely disassemble Diamondhead's body, although this left him conscious.
Regeneration Limit: If Diamondhead's body becomes completely disassembled, he is unable to regenerate himself.
Vulnerable Back Shards: The two shards on Diamondhead's back can leave him stuck on a wall or on other surfaces that he gets knocked into.
Cold Virus: Diamondhead can be affected by the cold virus.
Time Rays: While Diamondhead isn't normally affected by time rays that age other beings because it takes extremely long for him to age, he can still be sent backwards in time, frozen in time, and even turned back into Ben.
