The Deltamatrix is the upgraded copy of the Ultimatrix, however it was designed purely for combat purposes alone. Rex with the help of Albedo (against his will), created the Deltamatrix. It was given several new functions including a plasma blade which extends from the base as well as an manual scanning mode.Unlike most Omnitrixes it has the unique ability choose the alien for a situation this although is voice activation code only Rex knows. A side-effect of using the Deltamatrix is because of Rex's unique physiology corrupting with the DNA, the aliens he transforms into have genetic damage to their coloration, height, natural abilities, or physical differences. In other words, a normal alien could be blue with orange, but Rex will appear black with red stripes and sharp spike like appendages around the elbows. Despite the original omnitrix being made to bring peace, Rex had constructed his own for the sole purpose of enhancing his strength in combat.
