Plot[]
Previously, on Knight of All Knights,
George, Clifton, and James are soldiers in the Roman Army now. It’s been 5 Years since the battle at Camp Bellator ROMAE, and things have changed. The Empire is starting to break apart, and James knows that. He also knows that the emperor is his uncle, and he is secretly engaged to Erica. Erica revealed to James that she is pregnant and they choose names. As they fight, James told George about Erica, and George is fine. Meanwhile, a mysterious assassin killed a general, and then headed to La Empira, where General Will lives.
James told George about Erica and the baby. George had a nightmare that foretold future events. James married Erica however the Man in the Shadows attacked and killed Erica. Now, James has been traumatized and George swore Revenge. The group finds out about Emperor Patrick, and James warns Patrick about the Man in the Shadows. They head to James and George’s house… only to find her dead.
They traveled to the Accona Desert, where they found Richard’s Tomb and learned that the Man in the Shadows … is Echtor. James was injured, and Clifton was confronted by Echtor. Soon they went to Camp Bellator ROMAE, to visit Tomas’s Tomb.
Part 1: The Deal[]
“ Yes….” The creature asked.
“ It is I, Echtor. “
“ SPEAK NOW OR I SHALL STRIKE YOU DOWN WITH THUNDER!”
Echtor stared at the clouds, and said,
“ I Have a Proposition for you. You brought me to life. I’ve killed many, but not Richard’s sons, and Rome itself. I need more power. “
Two red eyes formed from the clouds itself looked at Echtor, and the monster spoke.
“ Even if I gave you power…. You would fail. And Rome will not fall during your lifetime. “
Echtor grew angry, and thought to himself.
This is unfair. It must be me who ends Rome, and it must be while I live. But he said it won’t happen so long as I live. But maybe….he thought.
“ CREATURE! THEN I ASK THIS…. MOVE FORWARD TIME ITSELF! “
“ Impossible. I cannot speed time up. But…. I can move you from one point in time to the next. “
“ Then we shall do that. “
“ But…. There is nothing you have to offer. You are an insect… a mere worm compared to me… an Ultra Aliquam. “
“ Then… I shall offer you something that makes me lose everything. But it’s worth it. I can tell you like Power. What if you got more?”
There was silent in the area, save for one lightning bolt hitting the ground and some thunder.
“ You cannot possibly give me Power. “
“ Oh but I can. Move me forward in time…. When I choose of course, and when Rome has fallen… then you shall take my soul and make it power. “
“ You give me your soul… and you will lose everything. Your life, emotions, thoughts, memories… everything. “
“ So Be it. “
There was more silence, and then the monster said,
“ Deal. Not only shall you go forward in time… but I have decided this. If you are able to defeat George and James… then you prove yourself to be my Herald and thus… you will live longer. But if you fail… then you shall lose everything. “
Suddenly, Echtor’s right arm burned and glowed blue for a second. He smiled as he left… and the storm suddenly stopped.
Part 2: Heading to Rome []
It was a Race against Time. I was riding Vectis, while Clifton and James were riding Praeco. We were maybe a few hours away, but we had to do all we could to get to Rome. It was possibly that Echtor was already there, slaughtering people the way he does.
“ COME ON…. WE HAVE TO GET THERE! “ I Shouted.
As we rode, I started thinking about everything…. Everything that happened with the Man in the Shadows…. And even the few events before. This had been a strange journey…even stranger then the one I took when I was 5 years younger.
( flashback begins )
"Here is the emperor’s forces!" Announced the rebel leader.
"There are only 3 of them! Has the emperor gone completely mad? This is child's play"
"There is truth in the man's word, George" James told me, "The empire is falling apart. It sent us on this impossible journey because all of the others soldiers are occupied elsewhere, should we really continue to serve the empire?"
"James, we can't leave. The empire is all we have worked for at the camp, it's our life for the good or bad.”
"I'm just saying brother, the empire is falling apart, we need to think about what side we choose in this battle."
( Camera Cuts to next Scene )
“ George… have you ever… thought about what you’ll do with your life… after you became a solider?”
“ Why would you ask that? “
“ I don’t know.. I’m just curious. “
“ Well… to tell you the truth…. No I haven’t. “
“ Well… what would you do?” James asked again.
“ Well…. I guess …. Once I was like… I don’t know… 23 or something…. I’d guess I’d find someone and… start a family…. Like dad. “
“ Yeah…. Hey… that’s like 3 years for me. “
“ Oh my gosh… that’s right. Man…. Time’s going by so quick. “
( Camera Cuts to next Scene )
“ George… come inside. We have to talk. “
“ James… is everything alright?”
“ George… you’re right. I haven’t told you something. You see… 3 years ago… I was in Rome. Remember, I was getting supplies for our training on La Empira? “
“ Yeah…. General Will was still teaching us. “
“ Well… That day… I met this girl… Erica. I was going to come back later that night… but she was just so… amazing. “
( Camera Cuts to next Scene )
“ Oh my gosh… you love her. “
“ …. I do. “
“ And you’re still dating her?”
“ Not exactly. George…. We’re engaged. “
“ How long?”
“ A Year. “
“ When is the wedding?”
“ 6 Weeks. “
“ 6 WEEKS!!!... Oh my gosh…. So … so… close. “
“ And there’s something else too. “
“ What?”
“ Erica…. She’s pregnant. “
“ Whoa… Whoa…. What?”
“ Yeah. It was an accident, but it’s happened. Besides… it’ll be nice to have a daughter or son. “
“ And… I was wondering if… you wanted to be… my best man. “
“ James…. “
“ I should have known this would happen soon. You’re 20 years old, almost as old as Dad when he met Mom. I know what my dream is. But you have different things you want to do. And that’s fine. I’ll be your best man James. “
( Camera Cuts to next Scene )
“Where is the solider known as George? “
“ That would be me. What message do you have? “
“ Not a good one sir. About a week ago, a farmer saw smoke near by the island La Empira. He went over there and saw the ruins of a house with a dead body. He took the body, looked at it, and we weren’t able to identify it. However, a woman who comes there every few days to give food and water to this person identified the person. George, no one expected that he would die this way. “
“ What is your point?”
“ George…. General Will has been murdered. “
( Camera Cuts to next Scene )
EVERYONE … GET OUT! “
“ No….no…. not today!”
“ AHHHHHH! “
“ I’ve killed one, now I will kill you and your brother. “ The Man in the Shadows said as he hid his face with one of his hands.
( Camera Cuts to next Scene )
“ This…. is horrible. “
“ I know. “
“ What are we going to do? “
“ We…. Are going to get revenge. We are going to hunt him down. “

“ George… you young fool. You will not be able to save the one you love. You see… everything Is going according to plan. “
“ And what is the next part of this plan?”
“ That’s simple. Its destroying this bridge. “
( Camera Cuts to next Scene )
“ Are you truly certain that you can defeat me? “ his foe asked.
“ There’s only one way to defeat you. IT’S CALLED SUDDEN DEATH! “
( Camera Cuts to next Scene )
“ Yeah… and I think I know where he’s heading. I’ve heard about this place… but I never knew…. “
“ What?” Clifton replied.
“ George… are you thinking what I’m thinking?”
“ James, the Man in the Shadows…. Is heading to the Accona Desert. He’s heading… to the site where our father died. “
( Camera Cuts to next Scene )
“ We need to go anyway. THIS HAS TO END!” James shouted.
“James…. I WILL NOT HAVE ANYMORE PEOPLE DIE! ”
“THIS ISN’T JUST YOUR DUMB DECISION GEORGE! YOU AREN’T THE LEADER!” James shouted.
“WELL YOU KNOW WHAT… YOU AREN’T THE ONE SPEAKING UP AND HAVING EVERYONE FOLLOW YOU …. SO NATURALLY SOMEONE HAS TO BE THE LEADER!”
“WELL YOU KNOW WHAT… JUST STOP! STOP BEING A …. “James started.
“FINE! YOU WIN!” I shouted.
( Camera Cuts to next Scene )
“ Father…. I swear…. By your grave… I will kill the Man in the Shadows… and honor your legacy. “
(Camera Cuts to next scene )
“ But… he killed you. “ I started saying to the Man in the Shadows. “ General Will killed you!”
“ George… what are you talking about?”
“ James…. When we went to Soul Mountain…. 5 years ago…. Will told us about a story. The one where Will killed someone. When he killed…. Echtor. “
“ So you know who I am. Fine…. I admit it. I AM ECHTOR!”
(Camera Cuts to next scene )
“ HAHHAHAHAH… COME ON GEORGIUS! BE STRONG, OR ARE YOU GOING TO BE A FAILURE…. LIKE YOUR FATHER! HAHAHHAAHAHA!”
“ I … am … Strong…. And my father is NOT A FAILURE!”
(Camera Cuts to next scene )
“We’re going to stop Echtor… and save Rome. “
(Camera Cuts to next scene )
“ What?”
“ Cyrus… he always was a nuisance. But he didn’t deserve to die. Not like this anyway. “
(flashback ends)
“ Now…. Its time to finish this. “ I said.

While George rode on his horse, and Clifton rode behind me, I reflected once again on my time with Erica.
(flashback begins )
James was walking in the streets of Rome. He was getting supplies before heading back to La Empira. That’s when he saw someone hiding in an alley way. The person had caught his attention, and went over to the person .
“ Who are you?” he asked.
“ I’m Erica. “
“ Oh… um… were you shopping for something? Did I distract you?”
“ Oh…no… not at all. “
“ You are cute…. But sadly my father chooses who I will marry. “ Erica told him.
“ Well… I guess we’ll have to convince him. “
(Camera Cuts to next scene )
“ My Father won’t let me buy anything myself, or without permission. I wanted to buy something … “ Erica said.
“ Like this?”
“ Oh my…. But we still haven’t convinced my father. “
“ Then let me meet him. “
(Camera Cuts to next scene )
“ Son… how dare you disrespect my family? She already has someone to marry…. His name is …”
“ Sir… I don’t care.
“ Well you should. I love your daughter…. And there is no one else I’d rather marry. “
“ It doesn’t matter…. “
“ Sir. My father was Richard the III, he was a solider in the Roman Army. I was trained by one of the greatest generals we’ve ever had, and …. I have money. “
“ How much?”
“ I have…. Over 3000 Aureuses. “
“ With that money, and… experience…. You know what…. I guess…. I can let you have Erica. But you must promise to be a good husband. “
“ I promise. “
(Camera Cuts to next scene )
“ My father…. He has told me that I must marry you! We did it! “
(Camera Cuts to next scene )
“ How was that dinner?” she asked.
“ It was … good. “
“ Will you get George to come? You still need a bestman. “
“ I’ll talk to him some time… just give me a while. “

“ Erica….”
“ James… oh thanks goodness. “
“ How long has it been since we met each other the last time?”
“ 10 weeks…. “ she replied.
“ Did you tell George? “
“ No….” I quietly replied.
“ Why not? We’re getting married, isn’t that something to tell him?”
“ Yeah… but I’m still worried. “
“ But you’re my little solider. “
“ Well…. “
“ Promise me you’ll tell him soon… “
“ Do I have to?”
“ YES… WE’RE ENGAGED. COME ON… “
“ Fine… I promise. “
“ Good. Man… I CAN’T BELIEVE WE’RE GOING TO BE ENGAGED! “
“ Yeah…. I can’t believe it. In a few months. Oh… “
“ Oh… what’s wrong?” she asked.
“ Erica…. I have to head back. Tomorrow…we’re going to start getting ready to rejoin the army. “
“ What? But… I thought…”
“ Hey Hey… don’t worry. Listen… I’ll tell him before the next battle. I promise we won’t die. “
“ But … what if…” she started as she cried.
“ Hey.. we won’t die. I promised you that. We’ll marry… and we’ll raise a family. It’ll be fine, Erica. “
“ James… before you go… I have to tell you something. “
“ Erica… you can tell me later… I really have to go. “
“ James…. I’m pregnant. “
(Camera Cuts to next scene )
“ How? That can’t be possible. “
“ It is. I’m getting bigger, I have a few months before the baby is born. “
“ But… why?”
“ James…. You want a family, don’t you?”
“ Yeah….”
“ My father is glad about this, so is my mother. Why aren’t you? “
“ I’m happy…. But just shocked. What are we going to call it? “
“ I don’t know…. If it’s a girl… Filia. “
“ If it’s a boy… Filius.
“ The Son or the Daughter. “
“ I love you….” James said.
“ And soon… everyone will be happy. “
(Camera Cuts to next scene )
“ Dearly beloved, we are gathered together here in the sight of the Roman Gods to join together this Man and this Woman in holy Matrimony; which is an honourable estate, instituted of the gods in Paradise, and into which holy estate these two persons present come now to be joined. The Rings Please. “
“ James, will you take Erica, to be your wife, in sickness and in health, so long as you shall live? “
“ I do. “
“ And Erica, will you take James, to be your husband, in sickness and in health, so long as you shall live?”
“ I do. “
“ Now, if any man can show any just cause, why they may not lawfully be joined together, let him now speak, or else hereafter forever hold his peace. “
“ I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may … “
(Camera Cuts to next scene )
“ We’re married. “
“ We are married. Now… about the child…”
“ James… I don’t want to tell my father. He’ll be disappointed in me. “
“ But come on. Don’t you see? We’re married now, he can’t do anything to us. “
“ I don’t know… “
“ Erica, what are you afraid of? “
“ Its not hard…”
“ Not hard?”
“ Its not hard… because you will understand in time. “
“ Why can’t we tell?”
“ Okay… I’ll tell. Let’s just …”

I can’t believe it. He trained us for 5 years…. And now that we just joined the army… he’s dead.

“ I know Clifton. None of this saw it coming. “
(Camera Cuts to next scene)
Now George and James’s Mom are dead. What is with this man? He’s destroying everything they care about. Family, love, and happiness. I guess I’m not the only one without parents anymore.
(Camera Cuts to next scene)
“ How could he be dead?”
“ Patrick last talked with a solider about the status of his enemies, when we found him dead a while later. “
“ Our uncle… killed… I only met him once. “
And thus…. Echtor has killed another man.
(Camera Cuts to next scene)
“ Clifton, Tomas, be careful now. We don’t want to mess up the dining room before mommy gets back home. “
“ Tomas, give me my toy sword. “
“ Sword…. “
“ Its been 5 years since I’ve married her…. I want to make this night special. “
“ You boys be quiet. “
“ Hello…”
“ Sir… we regret to inform you that while your wife was traveling, she was caught up in a battle between us and some invaders. We are sorry for your lost. “
“ Why Tonight…. Why Tonight?”
(flashback ends)

The Three of them within a few hours got near the Seven Hills of Rome, as they reflected on all that had happened.
Part 3: The Moment Everything Changes[]
Then, an arrow struck Vectis. I fell down, and the only item that fell with me was my father’s sword.
“ GEORGE!” Clifton shouted.
Suddenly, an evil laugh was heard as Echtor came from the Shadows with his sword and attacked us. James jumped down, and grabbed his sword. He attacked Echtor and kicked the man to the ground, who then threw a dart at James.
“ OW….”
I stood up and attacked Echtor. The Two of our Swords clashed, as I went behind him and almost struck him. Echtor turned around and revealed Rope.
“ DON’T GET TIED UP IN YOUR LIES!”
Echtor took the rope and put it around my neck.
“ AHH….Can’t… breath…”
“ This is how you shall die Georgius. “
Clifton tackled us, freeing me from Death’s Grasp. We all surroundred Echtor, as he went towards a cliff.
“ You wouldn’t dare kill me. Not since I might now some … information. “
I grew in my rage, and declared,
“ Echtor, THIS ENDS NOW!”
Echtor smiled, and said,
“ I couldn’t agree more. “
Suddenly, he threw his sword and we ducked. That was our mistake. The Sword hit part of the rock, and suddenly a huge crack was formed. We turned around, and saw what was about to happen.
“ HE TRICKED US!” Clifton yelled.
“ Yes you did. “ Echtor gloated.
Then, the cliff came down. As the 4 of us fell… I noticed dark clouds quickly heading in our direction. I knew that was not good.
The last thing I remembered then was Clifton falling on me, and I blacked out.
1 Hour Later…
I woke up to find Clifton, James, and I tied by rope together. In front of us, stood Echtor.
“ HAHHAHA…. You fell for my trick. Now… we shall finish the deal. “
The Dark Clouds were above us. Thunder rang thru the area, and a twister came down nearby, picking up all nearby.
Echtor took all of us and placed us , our right arms tied together, in front of him.
“ UNLEASH THE LIGHTING!”
Suddenly, my Right Arm burned, and so did James’s.
“ What’s going on… and George… I should have asked earlier… but for crying out loud… why is both your arms in pain whenever something weird goes on? “
Suddenly, a giant, swirling cloud appeared above us. Red lighting started heading to the center of the cloud.
“ Oh my gosh… “
“ UNLEASH IT! UNLEASH THE LIGHTING AND SEND US THERE! “
“ Wait… it’s the monster James. It’s the monster…. “ I said.
At that moment, Echtor put out his left arm, and everyone’s arms ( save for Clifton’s ) glowed light blue. Then, Echtor took a knife and stabbed us where our arms hurt, including his. Then, more blue light glowed.
The red lighting came from the swirling cloud, and with one laugh from the monster, hit us. Suddenly, in a quick series of flashes, we were gone.

On a hill near Rome, a storm was growing, and the city was preparing for a fight. Then, a swirling cloud appeared above the hill, and red lighting came down from the sky to the ground. In a quick series of flashes, we appeared on the hill, with Echtor. The glowing stopped from our arms and the wound also disappeared.
I kicked Echtor to the ground, while Clifton got his sword and freed himself. He then freed everyone else, and we started running to Rome.
By the time we got there, we were almost attacked. Some Soliders came and arrested us, and brought us into Rome, where we met a general. Rome seemed to have … grown and looked different then the last time we were there.
Anyway, the General came and said,
“ I’VE NEVER SEEN YOU BEFORE. WHO ARE YOU? “
“ I am Georgius. “
“ I am James. “
“ I am Clifton. “
“ NEVER HEARD OF YA. I THINK YOU ALL ARE SPIES FOR THE VANDALS. “ The General told us.
Then, I grew a thought. A thought I’m sure no man had ever thought of, besides maybe Echtor. I wasn’t sure, so I had to check.
“ Sir, what year is it?”
“ GEORGIUS, ARE YOU THAT DUMB? Georgius… it’s 455 A.D. “
