cur.sys is a transformation soon to be used by Ogrend Trolundi and the Flumpyflix's sample of an Itterdertine from Ileftondownfe.
Appearance[]
cur.sys is an incredibly asymnetrical humanoid. They have a computer for a head which usually displays a drawing software with a blue header. The drawing software features a grey background with eight buttons on the left side of it and a colour picker at the bottom, as well as a blank white canvas to draw on. Their screen also has a cursor which it can control. cur.sys' torso is split into multiple sections: the top half is blue, the bottom half is grey, and the middle is comprised of various floating buttons from its drawing software. The top half of its torso is connected to its head via two grey cables and both the top and bottom are seen glitching. cur.sys has one left arm resembling a mouse and two right arms resembling computer mice tethered to its torso by coiled wires. Its right leg resembles a resize / selection box and its left leg resembles the keyboard that would go with its head. The Flumpyflix symbol is on a red tab on its screen.
cur.sys has a face, however this is always changing and has to be removed and redrawn whenever they want to draw anything else. Their default face when transformed into is a crudely drawn smile with the following: two eyes, one a green pentagon with a red circular pupil and the other a purple eye with a white text pupil; two eyebrows; and a mouth with yellow teeth that are perpetually touching.
History[]
cur.sys is yet to be used in the Trixters.
Powers and Abilities[]
Anything cur.sys draws on its screen can be turned to life and will work as how it is drawn, i.e. if it drew a green apple it would taste specifically like that type of apple.
As well as creating physical manifestations of their drawings, anything cur.sys draws on its screen can alternatively be controlled as its face. This can have some advantages, like being able to speak previously unspeakable languages, i.e. a Vulpimancer's.
cur.sys can detach its head from its body without harming itself.
cur.sys can download data from its USB ports on the back of its head and display it on its screen to be used.
cur.sys' metal parts are quite durable.
Weaknesses[]
cur.sys' main weakness is the fact that they are typically limited to what they can draw on their MS Paint-like art program. This combined with the fact that they do not have enhanced artistic capabilities leaves them often creating very poor-quality drawings which may not work as intended.
cur.sys' screen is very fragile.
Etymology[]
cur.sys comes from the word "cursor", AKA the little white pointer moved around by your mouse / mouse pad, and the file extension ".sys", which is used for system files.
Trivia[]
- cur.sys was obviously based on MS Paint.
- More specifically, they were inspired by the fanmade MSM island "Funknown Funfair" by Raddram, in which one of the monsters, Itty-Ditty, a monster with a computer, makes another monster that looks like it was drawn in MS Paint.
- cur.sys' face is actually drawn in MS Paint.
- The character on cur.sys' text buttons both in the middle of their torso and on their screen is 24th letter of the alphabet, Vrrrpt.
- cur.sys was orginally called "Cur-Sore" and had a slightly different concept design.
