Courtney Lawrence is a supporting character in the Ben 10: 10,000 Years, 1 Friendship series. She is Ben's best-friend-become-girlfriend and the wielder of the "Nullitrix".
Appearance[]
Gloomy Courtney looks a lot like her counterparts. She still has mocha-brown eyes and a mole by her mouth, and her hair is still black, but it's styled into a boyish cut and has neon-blue dyed bangs. She wears a purple t-shirt with a black bleeding heat on it and her brown pants are ripped, along with an oversized black hoodie with purple details. She wears neon-blue laced purple and black converse boots with white tips. She also has black gloves and wears the Nullitrix on her left wrist. She used to wear her neon-blue ribbon in her braid like Courtney Prime, but kept it tied in a bow hidden from view when her hoodie is up.
Personality[]
Gloomy Courtney used to be just like her 10-year-old self, up to the point where her mom, Genevieve, and Max died in a terrible accident. Broken down by her father's abuse afterwards, she became a wan ghost, a girl who was extremely shy and scared of the world. Once reuniting with Nega Ben and hanging out more and more with him, she became more comfortable and slowly began to revert to the upbeat personality she was supposed to have.

Gloomy's story was far more tragic than her other counterparts. Both her mom and Grandpa Max died in the same accident, and her dad just didn't take it well. He blamed Gloomy Courtney's friendship with Nega Ben for her mom's death and it devolved from there. Out of anger, grief, and refusal to blame himself, he became an abusive figure to her, afraid to attempt to kill her because of the Nullitrix, as she called it, but harbored a deep hatred for her. Her younger sister ran away from home and begged for Gloomy Courtney to come with her, but she refused, believing there was no point in trying to run from her "crime", anyways. Her confidence shattered and her life practically ruined by her father, Gloomy Courtney began to devolve.
2 years prior to Omniverse[]
Gloomy Courtney ended up becoming a wan ghost who lived in fear everyday, up until she met Nega Ben, who had drastically changed, again in their first year of high school. They grew closer against the world's wishes and eventually started a relationship in secret. However, Gloomy, who'd been emotionally poisoned by her father's accusations, believed she shouldn't be using the Nullitrix, but Nega Ben encouraged her to stand up for herself so they could be free to live like they should. Taking that in, Courtney steadily began to come out of her shell again. In turn, she started to bring a light into Nega Ben's life as well.
However, one day, Nega Ben was captured by a group of corrupt alien Plumbers who arrived at their school. They cornered them on the roof and demanded that they hand over their watches. Gloomy Courtney hands over the Nullitrix as a trade for Nega Ben's life, but right after, he fights back, the situation escalating and ending with a tussle that sends Gloomy Courtney off the roof and to her death. Nega Ben attempts to save her, but is a few seconds too late. With Gloomy Courtney gone, he became more broken, to a point where he was practically emotionless.

- Gloomy Courtney is the first Courtney to have her own unique style. Instead of the generic braid and ribbon, she was designed by Dreamer2Dusk to have a more emo look.
