Chromastone is the Project Re; Bit version of the canon alien of the same name. Like all Project Re; Bit aliens, he is redesigned and has a few new additions/changes to his powerset.
Appearance[]
Day Shift[]
Chromastone resembles his AF appearance. His purple stone-like body is brighter than it was originally, the dark-lines that segment his body now less rigid and straighter, appearing almost like down-pointing arrows and segmenting the same parts of his body. The crystals upon his face and hands are light red, while the crystals that are present on his chest are red as well, albeit much more minuscule. He keeps the six crystals that run down his back, each alternating a warm color (Red, Yellow, Orange). He possesses a singular green eye as well.
Night Shift[]
Chromastone now resembles his OV appearance in a sense, but the jumpsuit, cuffs, and mouthguard have been removed. Almost all color has been drained from the purple body, leaving it grey. The lines leading down his body have switched from black to white and are now curved towards their edges, making them look “droopy”. His crystals now sport cool colors in contrast to Day Shift’s warm ones, the crystals having a less sharp look to them. The crystals present on his chest are now blue, with his four back crystals being violet and blue-green. His crystal horn is now longer, straight, and white.
Transformation Sequence[]
A green orb of energy pulsates rapidly as beams of what appear to be electricity eject from it. The center of the orb holds a DNA Helix, which begins to morph and change. The Helix explodes with energy, causing the screen to ripple as a silhouetted Ben floats with his arms outstretched to the side. His entire body is covered by purple stone, his hands being surrounded by red crystals. A close-up of his upper chest and head is seen, crystals growing from his back and chest as the stone envelopes his head, quickly breaking apart to reveal his face and horn, alongside a bright glowing eye.
The camera zooms out, revealing a fully transformed Chromastone, who draws one hand back while pointing his other hand in front of him.
Powers and Abilities[]
Chromastone no longer retains his energy absorption abilities, his absorption strictly being restricted to the UV Rays he absorbs from the sun to fuel his abilities.
Chromastone no longer has the ability to absorb all types of energy, now strictly pulling UV Radiation directly from the sun to fuel his abilities. This allows Chromastone a near limitless supply of energy, as long as the sun is present.
Chromastone is able to shoot the ultraviolet energy he absorbs in the forms of beams that he is able to control the output of. As long as he has access to the sun, he is able to fire these beams. He can fire beams from any crystal on his body.
He is able to do an AOE attack by releasing energy from his entire body which can be very destructive. This is a defense mechanism as well.
Chromastone retains his ability to fly.
When nighttime falls, Chromastone becomes his Night Shift form. As the sun is not directly beating down upon the Earth anymore, he has to resort to absorb the reflected UV Rays from the moon. This results in his attacks being weaker than usual.
To make up for his lost power, Night Shift Chromastone is able to shape his energy into weapons and constructs. Examples include swords, hammers, and shields. The complexity of the constructs vary.
Night Shift Chromastone is able to release his UV Energy to perform a short burst of speed, leaving a trail of mirages behind himself.
Weaknesses[]
While durable, Chromastone is able to be shattered if excessive amounts of force are applied to his body.
As Chromastone no longer shares his absorption abilities, he can no longer absorb and redirect energy attacks.
Chromastone has a new weakness in the fact that once the sun goes down, he shifts into Night Shift and his energy blasts become weaker than Day Shift. He also loses the ability to fly.
Chromastone cannot stop himself from performing his AOE attack if he is being bombarded by attacks, as it is a defense mechanism. While in Night Shift, he does not have enough power to perform the AOE naturally.
Species & Planet Info[]
Chromastone is a Crystalsapien from Mor' Otesi. The depletion of Mor'Otesi's ozone layer resulted in the planet being bombarded by intense ultraviolet light, resulting in the utter decimation of the planet's surface. The pre-established civilians fell and for years sat lifeless...
But life, uh, finds a way.
From the irradiated soil, a new form of life was birth onto the universe. The Crystalsapiens. The Crystalsapiens have the ability to harness Mor'Otesi's surplus of ultraviolet light, shaping their abilities around it. But as life was birthed onto this dead planet, there was only one thing to decide... Who rules?
And thus, conflict was sparked, the Crystalsapiens beginning their first war mere moments after their creation. The First Great Conflict continues to rage across the wastelands of Mor'Otesi, but a few Crystalsapiens decided to leave the warzone for... other regions.
Enter Petropia, a planet of similar crystalline beings known as the Petrosapiens. Compared to the Crystalsapiens, the Petrosapiens were primitive, untrained. The Petrosapiens took the Crystalsapiens as their Gods and began to worship the very ground they walked on, creating the very first legends of Petrosapien Mythology. Go into any cave on Petropia and you're bound to find a carving of various Crystalsapiens, even larger status of them present on the planet's surface. The Crystalsapiens are recognized as beings who led Petropia out of its "Dark Ages".

- Chromastone was the first alien thought to be redesigned for Project Re; Bit as well as the first alien shown.
- Chromastone's energy absorption abilities were removed to differentiate him from Feedback. Why not redesign Feedback when Chromastone came first? Good question, hope you find an answer.
