Castlux is an alien free for anyone to use.
Abilities[]
Castlux has power over the four classical elements, albeit in a bisected form. One half of their body controls air and water, and the other half fire and earth.
Castlux has no eyes, and "sees" by using their connection to the elements to detect changes in its environment.
Technically neither dead nor alive, Castlux exists in a half-immortal state that leaves them able to perceive and walk in the realms of both the living and the dead.
Weaknesses[]
Each half of Castlux has their own intelligence despite being born as a single being, and thus long internal debates are common.
Appearances[]
If you use Castlux in your series, please note their appearance(s) here.
Etymology[]
- Castlux's name is a portmanteau of "Castor" and "Pollux", a pair of twins from Greek Mythology.
- Geminkai is a corruption of the word "Gemini".
- Cynnabryte is a corruption of the word "dual".
Trivia[]
- Castlux was designed in reference to the star sign Gemini, which is generally represented as Castor and Pollux.
- The ornate blades on Castlux's head reference the horned caps of Lugal-irra and Meslamta-ea, an Ancient Mesopotamian pair of mythological twins said to guard the doorway to the underworld and acted as predecessors of sorts to Castor and Pollux.
- Castlux's ability to perceive the realm of the dead is also a reference to this.
