Okay so uh. I'm really not the type to do this. I'm really not. But this is just kinda... Yeah. This should be fun. A lot... of fun.
So when putting together the stuff for my latest episode, I realized that I had to put "LGBT Themes" into the rating template, as there is a LGBT couple in said episode, and I found it... Well the only word I can think of to describe it without really being offensive is "ridiculous."
Look, I know LGBT stuff is all kinds of controversial, and I get that's kind of the reason it's there, but honestly, it seems like it's doing more to add to the controversy than anything else (y'know, as much as a Ben 10 fan-fiction wiki can add to controversy). Basically, by putting "LGBT Themes" in the rating system makes it seem like these kinds of relationships are only for mature audiences, but that doesn't really help with the controversial issue at all. If anything, it should just be treating the LGBT-type relationships as regular relationships (seeing as how they are regular relationships), and having it as a reason for a more mature rating doesn't do that at all.
My proposal is simple: LGBT themes being part of the rating system is a bit ridiculous, so they should be removed from it.
