Why are the seasons short @Roads?
For this series, I'm focusing more on story arcs than individual episodes. And even though there will definitely be episodes that are stand-alone (Null and Void almost is), the seasons are kept short because otherwise I'd run into the same problem I had with BTMT towards the end: the story arc and general flow of the series hindered by running out of ideas for the stand-alone ones.
And there's no way I'd be able to drag the story along so slow as to fill up a 13-20 episode season. Some shows do that, and even though it can be suspenseful, it's like watching five minutes of a movie at a time. :P (EDIT: Unless it's done right. ;P)
And even though the seasons are short, there will be a lot of them. And no matter how fast I make them, one thing's certain based on how I have the series planned: It will go to at least early 2016!
Thanks Roads, I did'nt know that u were so calm (High fives) but one thing that I am sure about is that BTR is the most awesome series on the wiki!!
Well, I've finally gotten some real progress on Season 2. The first episode has been done for a while (and has had some minor tweaks recently), but I'm finally really working on the second one. My old idea for it has ultimately been ditched, and will be partially used in the final episode.
The third, fourth, and fifth episodes should go much more smoothly since I have a good idea of where I want them to go. :P
Once I finish the third episode, I will (again!) begin releasing the episodes even though I haven't finished the season, just because it's been so long...
With the start of Season 2 getting closer, I'm thinking of making some retcon changes to Season 1. Nothing too major, though.
Primarily, I want to rename "the Plumber" to "the Wrench." In retrospect, the latter name makes much more sense, as it's preexisting and carries more meaning. I had forgotten about it at first, and "the Plumber" is an unoriginal name anyway. I don't think it makes it any more or less obvious that it's Max. :P The character himself will remain unchanged. It's just that Max's "secret identity" being the Wrench seems better than said secret identity being a name pulled from nowhere.
I might also make a few other small changes, which I will note when they happen. Again, nothing too huge and plot-changing. You won't even need to re-read the episodes. What does everyone think about this? Good idea, or not?
If it helps the series, why not?
I keep meaning to write it, then getting stuck/distracted/etc, then coming back to it later, and repeat. I was planning on only releasing the first episode of Season 2 after the season is finished, but just like with the last season, it's been long enough...
YAY!
I hate to say it but I'm disappointed about Less Than Ideal, it wasn't detailed, it skipped a lot of parts and the character development was horrible. If I give the last episode (Plan B) a 9/10 then I give this one 5/10, satisfactory,
