Plot[]
At Yellowstone, the Tennysons are finally acting like a proper family, really taking in the world around them, listening to the radio in the background.
"For once Grandpa, I don't think anything can top this." Ben smiled, watching the geysers blow, including the famous Old Faithful.
"And we can live off the land too!" Max reached down, picking up a wriggling mealworm and taking a bite out of it.
Ben quickly began fiddling with the Omnitrix to find XLR8 but it just couldn't' work.
"Come on, I just wanna hit that burger place in Casper!"
"I'll take one with chili, I can help!" Gwen quickly joined in, and accidentally turned down, turning Ben into a strange new alien that...
Immediately fell on his back.
Ben in this form was... rotund to say the least. He was this white and black, yellow armor-plated thing.
"Guys, what am I?!"
"Look at that Ben, you already have your heroic pose ready." Gwen chuckled.
"Yeah, yeah, real funny, can you help me up now?" After finding a very convoluted way to help the alien up, Ben was giddy again once more, "I'm a new hero!"
"And where there's one more, there could be a hundred."
"Let's see what he does!" Ben breathed in, and then let out nothing, "So, no fire breath."
He tried to see if he could have a super jump or something, he then did several hand signs when he crashed onto the ground.
"No lasers either, looks like this one's a super-dud, Ben." Gwen shook her head.
"Astronomers at Mount Hamilton have caught a glimpse of a small meteor, and it appears to be- heading right for the park!"
Ben turned around, and sure enough, the meteor was coming straight to him.
"There could be people over there!" Ben yelled, trying to run after it as it flew over him.
"Ben! You don't know what that alien can do yet!" Max wisely called out.
"Gotta run, sorr-!" Ben ten tripped over his fat legs and ended up... rolling? He was now a yellow-plated ball once his armor locked in place.
"Or do you mean, 'gotta roll'?" Gwen said while she and Max chased him.
"At least he's going towards the meteor." As Max said this, of course Ben had to veer off course, knocking into several trees.
They approached the crash site, seeing a bulging, giant, cracked cocoon, Ben slowly uncurled, sitting down to watch as spikes pierce through the converging cracks. Finally, a tick the size of a building emerged from the cocoon, its armor was pink and it had several blue legs.
There was a horrid stench in the air, Ben immediately defended himself by saying it wasn't him since he had been showering for weeks. But if you have to immediately defend yourself even before people accuse you, that tends to only make people more suspicious.
An alien spaceship arrived above the trio, detaching a hull which revealed a floating platform of three different aliens; the tall and thin Leader, the short and pudgy Interpreter, and finally, a buff, four eyed Enforcer with an ax.
"Rejoice earthlings, He has arrived. In all His glory. We are here in peace."
"Then maybe you should have given us a warning before dropping a giant cocoon on our planet!" Gwen accused.
"Hmm, this one has an attitude." The Enforcer circled above them.
"An Elderly male, a prepubescent female, and an... Arburian Pelarota." The Leader examined.
"He's a little far from home isn't he." The Enforcer looked down at his leader.
"Actually I'm closer than you think, you see-."
"Unfortunately, you have no home to go back to. The Great One purified your planet last week." The Enforcer knocked on the Tick's shell.
"I do not like the sound of that euphemism..." Gwen shook her head.
"Everyone, silence! He speaks to me!" The Interpreter held his head to the Tick.
"I don't think he's saying anything." Max watched.
"Only I speak His language! He says... 'your planet will be purified before the next moon'. You are quite lucky!"
The tick's legs began darkening the world around it, this darkness spreading into the forest.
"Oh, you must believe him, this is quite the experience. Let me show you! You see, we follow The Great One from planet to planet, galaxy to galaxy. He burrows his legs into the core of the planet and...." The Leader's headgear showed a holographic image of aplanet, it turned black and exploded, playing the animation over and over like a "GAME OVER" screen.
"THAT'S what he's gonna do to us?!" Gwen stared in shock.
"Of course, it's what He did to our planets."
"Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice!" The aliens sang together.
"Not if I can help it!" Ben curled into a ball and began speeding towards the Leader, only to be knocked back by the Enforcer's ax.
Over in the forest, Ben detransforms as he rolls towards his family.
"Aw, man. This watch gives me a whole new alien to try out and all I can do is roll. Whatever happened to Megalopod!"
"Yeah, don't worry about the giant planet-sucker about to wipe Earth off the face of the Solar System!"
The three looked at the leaves on the ground, they all turned to paste. It didn't take a scientist to tell that leaves shouldn't do that.
They tried to climb back up the hill but there were long... spotted tentacles coming at them.
"Why do they have to have mouths!" Gwen screamed as the writhing tentacles coiled around the trio and dragged them into the mud.
"Come on... give me something good, Omnitrix! Go... hero!" Just as Ben is dragged underneath the muck, he erupts from it as Jetray, holding his family from his feet. Jetray fires neuroshocks back at the tentacles to keep them at bay, "Come on, let's tick off this tick!"
"You'll have to watch for the trees first!" Gwen directed as mutated trees fired tentacles at the group, Jetray ducked and weaved through them, firing shocks from his eyes.
"Ben, you sure Jetray can take out that tick thing?" Max ponders as they flew over the geyser to see that the three aliens were just at the spout.
"Sir, the earthlings are back. Why do they have an Aerophibian with them? We did not recognize that."
"Sorry boss, I didn't have any way to know." The Enforcer pouted.
"That's not a problem. Only a minor setback."
Jetray quickly placed Gwen and Max on safe ground.
"Sorry, this ray's flying solo!" Jetray then dodged energy beams from the Enforcer's ax, knocking him off his platform with a shock, the other two gave chase but lost him in a brown cloud of smoke.
"Where could he have gone.." The Leader cursed under his breath.
"Right here!" Jetray went for a flying kick only to... time out.
"Uh, is it too late to read the 'Great One''s pamphlets?" Ben asked, holding onto the Leader's platform.
"Oh, we don't use pamphlets, however we do-"
Ben used this distraction to hop and land onto the Interpreter Alien's platform and knock him off, slowly righting himself, it was just like Tetrax's hoverboard, he told himself and sure enough it worked.
Ben flew around, keeping it level, the Enforcer raised his ax as he flew while the Leader prepared a headblast, Ben quickly flew up to make both attacks hit each other.
"Boss, please don't be mad at me."
"I'm not, I'm not. I'm mad at... him." The three gave chase once more, Ben couldn't keep the dodging up much longer so he had to come up with something quick, but then he realized something, the geyser!
He flew directly towards its spout, smiling as he changed direction while the aliens kept going, splatting into a sticky goop as it erupted.
"Never thought I'd see an intergalactic game of Chicken." Max put his hand behind his head.
"So, lift?" Ben showed up, the two got on the platform as he approached the tick once more, and was it... bigger than before? "If it's getting bigger when it eats, how about I show it the Humungousaur diet!"
Humungousaur approached, growing as he tried to pick up the tick only for its tendrils to stab into his chest, bringing him to his knees in pain and reverting.
The aliens have returned, the Enforcer shot a beam from his ax at the trio, trapping them in a dome.
"It is time for the final purification of your planet, and you three alongside it." Normally the Leader would rejoice saying this but he just couldn't help but sneer.
"Please tell me there's a Plan B, Ben..."
"That was Heatblast, remember?"
"And C?"
"Wildmutt. D was XLR8, E was Diamondhead, F was Ghostfreak, no point in trying Upgrade and Ripjaws..."
The world was truly reaching its end, the sky had thinned into white, trees were wilting, ground broke before everyone's eyes, the Enforcer floated everyone to the Tick and gave them sponge-like devices.
"Before the Great One can cleanse your planet, He must be cleansed. You see, it's a ritual where..." The Leader pointed to the goop oozing out of the "Great One".
"Nuh-uh. No way am I doing that!" Ben pouted, staring at the pulsating goop before the Enforcer charged another beam, "OrmaybeIwill!"
The Interpreter holds himself to the tick again, "He missed us. We apologize, please forgive us." The thrtee held their head slow in obeisance.
"I've got one last shot guys, it's time to pull out plan C."
"Didn't you say plan C was Wildmutt?" Gwen groaned, scrubbing away.
"C this time... is for Cannonbolt. But first, I'll need a distraction." Gwen and Max nodded to each other, approaching the aliens who were singing as the tick began to shed it scales, the two attempting to sing along to this new, alien language, which actually prompted them to try and teach the song to them.
Ben, meanwhile, went behind the Tick and transformed, his arms and legs inflating into what looked like white balloons, black claws forming out of them, yellow armor grew over his shoulders as his head sunk into his torso, as the rest of the armor covered the top before he kept trying to bang on the now exposed skin of the Tick.
"Now, another interesting-. He tricked us, destroy them all!" The Leader began firing at them erratically, beams bouncing off parts of the tick's shell.
"So much for a distraction!" Max and Gwen worked together to pick up a fallen shell piece to block an ax blow before continuing to run away, eventually finding themselves stuck on a single pillar with the aliens closing in on them.
"Alright Cannonbolt, if you're ever needed to be useful, the time is now.... no pressure..."
Cannonbolt quickly curled into a ball and sped over to his family, pounding the Leader off his platform before falling to the ground, just as his family's pillar broke under them. Cannonbolt bounced off the ground, uncurling then recurling to catch them, bouncing around and deflecting beams that knock the three aliens off their platforms once more.
"There's no point in fighting it, the digesting has begun!"
"Well, He can digest THIS!" Cannonbolt rolled towards the tick, revving up and flyiing into it, joining the debris it was sucking into its holes.
"NOOOO!" The aliens yelled.
Cannonbolt began to bounce through the inside of the tick's body, plowing through organs, breaking bones and filling the insides with goo as it began to bloat, exploding as Cannonbolt surfed across the goo towards the three aliens.
"There are so many feelings... all conflicting."
"You... killed our Great One."
"But that... makes you the new Great One."
"Interpreter, Enforcer? Hail to the new Great One!"
They all began to bow to Cannonbolt before he timed out.
"Oh, right, another underdeveloped human specimen."
"Wow, someone's salty."
The Leader could barely contain his anger before he just teleported away.
Most of the national park began to return to normal, of course most of the land was eaten by the Tick and was in such disarray that it would take years to fix, but at least the trees weren't trying to kill people anymore.
"Oh... right, the goop." Ben stared at the Rust Bucket, knowing good and well they'd force him to do it, the lazy bums. At least make Gwen do it alongside him...
