Ben 2020

Ben 2020 is a miniseries created by CaT featuring the canon Ben 10 characters of Earth-83.

Synopsis

It's January 2020, six years after the events of Omniverse and five years after the events of the infamous Milky Way Race. A now-adult Ben must face threats both new and old as he struggles to keep up and chase his eventual destiny as Ben 10,000 in an ever-changing new world.

Description

Ben 2020 is a miniseries that takes place on Earth-83 that chronicles the life and times of Ben Tennyson in the year 2020. Still fighting alongside Rook, he struggles to find his own identity as a solo hero as Rook's path as a Plumber diverges more and more from his own. Uncertain as to what his path for the future should look like and what kind of Ben 10,000 he'll become, Ben is forced to confront his own inner demons as he fights old foes and attempts to track down the sinister mastermind behind a new threat intent on sewing chaos across the globe.

In terms of Earth-83 canon, this series takes place before and during the events of Tech Cross, another series set in 2020. Certain characters and plot elements from Tech Cross make appearances in Ben 2020, but not in any manner that requires you to read one series to understand the other.

1. Next 1: The Bridge and a Roadtrip
   • Ben has to pick up Rook from the San Francisco spaceport.
2. Next 2: The Crossroads and the Scientist
   • Ben and Rook travel to Salt Lake City to investigate a suspicious scientist.
3. Next 3: The Big Apple and the Billionaire
   • Their latest lead takes Ben and Rook to New York City, where a tech billionaire is personally unveiling a new product.
4. Next 4: The Liberty Bell and the Templars
   • While investigating a lead pointing them to the Liberty Bell, Ben and Rook meet face-to-face with an organization claiming to be the successor to the Forever Knights: the Forever Templars.

Pit Stops

"Pit Stops" are minisodes that take place on the drive between the destinations featured in each main episode.

   • Takes place between Next 1 and Next 2.

Trivia

• Ben 2020 has shorter chapters than most of CaT's other works, as the series is meant to be an attempt at a much more casual writing experience. Whether or not this will pan out remains to be seen.
  • The series is also meant to provide context for several short stories written by CaT for Fanon Con.
• Look man I know Ben 10 continuations are overplayed but I've been writing and rewriting S2E3 of Tech Cross for a year and a half now and frankly I need something (relatively) easy to put out there so I don't lose it from constantly writing but never having a finished product.
• This series will get a logo and all that other fancy stuff eventually but mentally I am in a DEEP hole right now so please put up with this wiki's equivalent of boomer formatting for the moment.
