Banshee is an alien used by Ben Tennyson with the Unlimited Omnitrix. He appears in Ben 10: Beyond Bellwood and originates from the Friendship is Magic universe.
Appearance[]
Banshee is a unicorn- a mythical horse with a single spiral horn on its forehead- with a lavender coat and brown eyes. His mane is pale with purple tips.
The Omnitrix symbol is on his chest.
Banshee's dialogue is stylised like that of all characters from the FiM universe. Banshee talks in pale red text with a pink border. His Cutiemark is a teal flower with a single petal pointing upwards, the rest are replaced with magical sparks.
Powers and Abilities[]
Like all Equestrian Unicorns, this transformation has the ability to manipulate magic. These can make for powerful attacks or powerful utilities. However Ben discovered during his fight with Kevin 11 in The Other Ben that he is seemingly unable to use Banshee's magic for anything other than dangerous bursts.
Weaknesses[]
Ben has no understanding of Equestrian Magic, and the knowledge does not come naturally. For whatever reason Ben is able to do little with this magic besides firing powerful blasts.
History[]
This alien was first unlocked in Death in the Everfree, where it was scanned from Twilight Sparkle while Ben was imprisoned in Canterlot.
This transformation was first used within the nightmare that Ben experienced in Ghost in the Dream. Banshee appeared when Ben revisited the Salvation Space Station from The Genocide Gene, and cast Upgrade's Dalek-opening signal as a spell when the Tantabus appeared as the Daleks. He then cast a second spell, this one like a laser beam, to carve the illusory Daleks apart.
This alien was used for real for the first time in The Other Ben. Ben had tried to use Upgrade to fix the broken Unlimited Omnitrix but was transformed instead into Armodrillo, then into this Unicorn form. Ben, angered by Kevin 11, attack the monster and found that his magic attacks were incredibly powerful. However Ben then discovered that he was unable to use the magic for anything else, feeling something of a blockage that only a rageful burst could bypass. When Ben charged Kevin with an intentionally strong burst he accidentally hurt himself, reverting to his human form.
After this incident, Ben would name the alien 'Banshee'.
