Aviaquila is the home planet of the Aviaquilans.
Aviaquila is a gas planet, with a gravity almost twice that of Earth and a dense atmosphere. It has no solid surface to step on, so the inhabitants, the most advanced of which are Aviaquilans, adapted to fly indefinitely in the breathable air of the planet.
Aviaquila's history is minimally known. One sure thing is that, before Aviaquilans became the main sapient species, the skies of Aviaquila were under the domain of Planetopterix, large pterosaur-like species. When they migrated into outer space, the Aviaquilans started to evolve faster, due to the absence of natural predators.
Aviaquila has an oceanic moon, home to Nocturnal Aerotators.
Aviaquila's name derives from its main species, the Aviaquilans, whose name is a play on Avis (birds) Aquila, Latin for eagle.
