Plot[]
Yet another day on the Tennyson's summer trip, the three could definitely smell something off, and it wasn't Grandpa's cooking. They were in a swamp.
Couldn't this be a normal road trip sometimes...
"Grandpa, there's literally nobody here!" Gwen complained, Grandpa was in fact, making a meal (more like a concoction if you asked the kids).
"Gwen, we're getting ready for Gatorfest tomorrow, soon this place will be crawling with people and we'll need to be early if we want a spot. Besides, without a soul around, you can test your powers easier."
Gwen just trudged behind the RV to find Ben screwing around with the Omnitrix and a screwdriver.
"Are you trying to take it off or something?"
"No, I'm trying to see if I can unlock more aliens. First Cannonbolt, now Wildvine? There's gotta be loads more!"
"I get the enthusiasm and all, but can you slow down. You don't know what that'll do. You can barely get it to give you the right alien half the time. Grandpa! Ben's toying with the watch again!"
"Ben! What did I tell you!" Max shouts from the other side.
"Not to do it..." Ben puts the screwdriver down and Gwen goes out into the forest to see if she can get her magic working.
With everyone not paying attention, Ben could get back to work, managing to successfully pry off the faceplate sending it spinning to the floor.
"Yes!"
"Ben? You didn't mess with the watch, did you?" Max asks, getting a pretty good idea what his grandson was up to.
"No?" Ben sheepishly answered, looking down at the Omnitrix, quickly covering it as it begins glowing but it only covered so much.
Over in the forest, Gwen is trying to float on some sort of platform, the sudden glow from behind her catching her off guard and making her fall into the mud below.
"Ugh! Ben! What did you do..." Gwen sighed, running to where Ben is.
"Man! Did you guys see that freaky green lightning?"
Max and Ben looked at Ben who had his right arm deep in his pocket.
"Ben, there isn't a cloud in the sky." Gwen furrowed her eyes.
"Yeah, that's what's so... freaky about it. Right?"
"Ben, you messed with the Omnitrix didn't you?" Max stared, seeing right through it.
"Okay! I did it! I'm sorry, I won't do it again! I wanted to unlock more aliens!"
"Just take this back, and don't use the Omnitrix again until we can figure out how to really fix it." Max handed Ben the faceplate, Ben turned around and stuck it back together with some gum.
"There, all done!" Ben smiled as they all went into the forest to help Gwen train.
The next day, everyone heads out of the RV to see the festivities of Gator Fest, crowding around the hatching of some alligators, Gwen surprisingly enjoys the sight of them, Ben couldn't help but remember that whole King Koil debacle and cringe.
The alligators babies go into the water before quickly scurrying out to safety in the grass.
"What made them do that?" Ben kept a hand right above his Omnitrix, making sure nobody could see it, he wasn't letting Koil catch him off guard.
Suddenly, a giant mutated frog leapt out of the water, everyone quickly scattering to get out of the way.
"I think we found the culprit!" Gwen yelled.
"Animo's work..." Max sighed and went to help people get away.
The frog shot its tongue at Ben who jumped, the faceplate falling off as he rolled on the floor, as he got up he found himself face to face with the mad scientist himself.
"Ah, so glad to meet you, boy." The man wore a simple suit, giant gorilla arm gauntlets connected to a metal vest but there was something new, bandages covering the right side of his face.
"It wasn't difficult to track your alien exploits... Tell me, how do you think a man who could barely pay rent before, could pay the medical damages of THIS!" Animo pulled the bandaging off to reveal burn scarring, "You did this boy, you did this to me, 'hero'!"
"Wh-What?! What are you talking about! I haven't even met you after..."
"Stopping my beauties, denying me my rightful place in history, BURNING MY FACE!"
"I'm telling you, that wasn't me!" Ben tried to figure out how in the world Animo could think he burnt his face, the man was crazy sure, but he was capable of tracking him for this long. But then it hit him, he ran into Kevin on that "justice rampage" of his. He must've fought Hot Shot.
Animo put out his palm, charging up a blast that Ben dodged, jumping behind a stand and transforming into...
"Ben! You're..." Max shouted, interrupted by Gwen.
"Chromastone? On fire?"
"Uh, I don't think that's supposed to happen." "Chromastone" said, and in fact, he did look different, the purple making up the rocks was much darker and separated to show Heatblast's lava underneath, the normally pink crystals were now Heatblast red.
The mutant frog leapt at the new alien who just reared back a fist and sent it flying back.
"I knew messing with the watch would give me something cool! Watch this, I think the Heatblast half might let me absorb energy from the sun!" Ben brought his hands up and did just that, charging up a blast.
Animo takes this time to extend his arm out to grab the faceplate from the ground, hitting Chromablast with a blast from his other hand making him fire his charged shot into the air. Animo then hops out of there on his frog while Ben turns back.
"Okay Ben, we need to put that faceplate back on, now!"
"Someone's jealous I have more aliens now!"
"No, I don't want you turning into some freaky alien combo platter like Kevin!"
"Jealous!"
"Am not!"
"Is too!"
"Kids! Just look for where the faceplate is."
"Uh, right on the watch, see?" Ben holds up the Omnitrix and... the faceplate wasn't there, "Good news? I know where it is. Bad news? Animo has it."
"I hardly find that to be 'good news'." Max sighed.
By Animo, it seems that he has several more test subjects lined up, conveniently the perfect ones to test with his new faceplate, one of them being rather familiar.
It was the Queen Bee sisters, Natasha and Patricia Mcabee. Natasha was currently whimpering like a child while Patricia kept telling her to shut up.
"Oh, don't worry girls, you'll be the first to become apart of a new world order, now, I remember you calling yourselves the 'Queen Bees'..." He pulls back the trigger on his newest device, a giant mutant ray (where gets the funds, nobody knows) and fires, watching as his work transforms before his very eyes.
The girls literally fused together, bee fur covering their body, they grew multiple arms and legs, wings sprouting as they gained more and more compound eyes. She reached about the size of Animo's mutant frog and with a screech, jumped into the swamp and began flying.
"She's alive, she's aliiiiiiive!" Animo rejoices, literally jumping for joy.
"We've been at this for hours, how fast can a giant frog jump!" Gwen groaned, the trio were in an airboat moving.
"If he starts tapping into that watch's alien DNA who knows what he'll do..."
"Alright Gwen, say the line..."
"What line?"
"'Man Ben, how does it feel seeing your actions blow up in your face after I told you not to do it, looks like I was right all along'?" Ben mocked his cousin, blowing a raspberry.
"Still don't know what's going on."
"Ugh! Did all that magic stuff mess with your head? Grandpa, Gwen won't say I told you so!"
"Ben! Look alive!"
"Huh!"
The trio heard the sound of what seemed like a million bees at once, and there she was, the Queen Bee herself, sitting right there, preening her fur in the grass.
"Okay, how long do you think Animo's been keeping that lying around?" Gwen stared in horror.
"Don't know, don't wanna find out!" Ben screamed as the Tennysons turned around, only to see a swarm of chattering strange Ball Weevil-like creatures floating on slime.
"Uh! Ball Weevil doesn't look like that!" Gwen fired a magic blast at one who spat a plasma ball that absorbed it.
The creatures had most of Ball Weevil's shape and definitely his abilities, but seemed to have Cannonbolt's plating and the white coloration.
Max turned the boat sideways and tried to cut through the trees, bouncing on the sides as the mutants followed them.
The constant ricochets bounce Ben out of the boat as he transforms, emerging from the water as a gray Humungousaur, he had some of XLR8's armor and his tail was more like XLR8's but he lacked the wheels or claws of the Kineceleran.
"Man, even Humungousaur's even cooler!" Ben then leapt over the boat onto Queen Bee where they struggled, Queen Bee eventually getting the upper hand when the Cannonball Weevils used their plasma to pull Ben back, the mutant holding "Humungousaur"'s head underwater.
"Let go of him!" Gwen fired a blast that knocked the Queen Bee over, letting Ben catch his breath.
"Okay, no visor and I can't grow. But I can do this!" Ben tried to use XLR8's speed but he weighed too much and didn't have the wheels to control so he ended up just splashing down again, the ripples making a wave that washed out the Cannonball Weevils, "I meant to do that!"
HumungousLR8 then grabbed a tree, uprooting it and rushing to Queen Bee and sending her flying.
"A swing and she's gone! The crowd goes wild, that's Tennyson's 10th Home Run this season! Raaaah! We love you!" HumungousLR8 cheered himself on while he flexed.
"Save the gloating for when we get the faceplate, doofus!" Gwen yelled, "Now get back here so we can get to Animo."
The Tennysons approach Animo's observatory, making their way inside to see Dr. Animo and his mutant ray, climbing onto dry land just in time to dodge Animo's mutant frog.
"Back for round two, huh?" Ben rose, looking at the beast.
"It's not polite to sneak up on someone while they're working, you know."
"You've got something of mine, and I want it back!"
"Ah yes, beautiful piece of technology. I shall put the DNA within to good use."
"Not gonna happen!" Gwen charged up some magic.
"With this telescope, I can bounce my transmodulator signal off satellites and blanket the entire earth in power, making a new, perfect world order! How about you be the next test subject!"
Animo turned it over towards Ben, placing his gauntlets inside the holes and firing, the flash of light is almost about to hit Ben but Grandpa Max shoves him out of the way, taking the hit instead, turned into a bloated Arburian Pelarota.
"If I had just listened, none of this would be happening..."
"Forget that! We need to take down Dr. Quack!" The kids looked around as they're surrounded by Animo's mutant frog and his newest freak, a Heatblast bat.
"Come on, give me Chromastone!" Instead, Ben was given a Jetray/Ripjaws fusion that struggled to stand.
"Ripjaws and Jetray, good in water... not so good on land." He choked out, Jetray was strong but his legs were weak and he was much better suited for gliding.
"You will burn, boy! No matter how many blasted family members of yours I have to take down as collateral!" Animo fires again, rising from his seat to check his work...
Not a scratch.
"Hah! You couldn't even nick me!"
"It seems you're already enough of an abomination to not be mutated by my ray... Instead of giving you new life, I shall make do with ending your old one!"
The Mutant Frog quickly swallowed the two kids up, only to be forced to open again as Jetjaws' neuroshocks started burning the roof of its mouth, they escaped only for Ben to be carried by the Heatbat, the radiating heat singing his skin and drying him out.
"Okay, if this is about the time that Kevin burned your face, let me reiterate that it wasn't me!" Jetjaws screamed as he was thrown towards the ground, managing to fly, picking up a mouthful of water but getting dragged up by the mutant frog, "Oh I hate this ride!"
As he got up, Ben shot a neuroshock blast to make a ring of fire surrounding the frog while Gwen tried her best to dodge blasts from Animo's ray.
The Heatbat turns to chase Gwen, having to decide between a dead end or a jump.
"Here goes..." Gwen jumped, summoning a magical platform so she could break into the telescope.
"The satellite reaches its position!" Animo gloats while ben fights off the mutant frog and Heatbat, "This is it! The Animo Revolution WILL BE TELEVISED!"
The device began to power down again, Animo looking over to see Jetjaws firing his neuroshock blasts.
"What?! Even that shouldn't be enough to..." Suddenly, Gwen climbed out of the telescope, holding the Omnitrix faceplate.
"Looking for something?" Gwen climbed away from a seething Animo.
"You vile miscreants, how dare you prevent me from saving all humanity!" Animo was about to slam his fists down on Gwen when Jetjaws leapt directly onto him, weighing him down as the two approached the water.
"How about you cool off with a nice drink, doctor's orders!" Jetjaws then kicked him into the water and went back to Gwen, "I've got an idea, you're gonna have to trust me... Turn the faceplate backwards and put it in, then hit Grandpa!"
"You don't know what that'll do to him!"
"Can't be worse than what he is right now..."
"Right." Gwen got to work while Ben landed where Animo was, bringing his gauntlets to the ray so he could use it.
And... it worked.
"Now, what do we do about you? It doesn't seem like the faceplate goes on normally again." Gwen wondered.
"Well, guess I'm stuck with these fusions forever..." Jetjaws began to detransform and got an idea, "Quick pass me it! Now!"
Gwen flung it at him, with Ben putting it on just before he turned to normal.
"Yes! It worked!"
"So, Ben, you learned your lesson?"
"Yeah, yeah... Don't mess with things that I don't understand..."
"I TOLD YOU SO, DOOFUS!" Gwen screamed in his ear.
"Alright kids, can anyone tell me why I crave sugar water and rotten eggs?"
"Grandpa! You're back!" The kids both hugged him.
"Back? How- How long was I gone?"
"Let's just get outta here, before any more freaks show up..." Ben shook his head, still ringing from Gwen's screaming at him.
The three laughed as Max called in some help.

- Originally I planned to have Ben first transform into Cannonball Weevil first but the opportunity to have Ben's first fusion be the two first aliens of Rewri-10 (Chromastone being the first on-screen alien and is used by No-Watch Ben and Heatblast being the first alien used by Rewri-10's Ben Prime) was too good to pass up
