Ampethyst is the Omnitrix's sample of a Sonusapien.
Appearance[]
He is a tall, crystalline humanoid. His outer body primarily consists of a grey rock-like substance, with his insides being crystalline in nature and coloured shades of pink and white. His head and hands are uncovered by the stone-like substance on the rest of his body, and he has several crystalline protrusions on his back, upper arms and legs, and at the centre of his chest. His head has a singular, 'Y'-shaped eye, and a structure resembling a tuning fork on his forehead.
Powers and Abilities[]
Ampethyst is able to generate strong vibrational waves within his body, which can be used for a variety of purposes. Primarily, they are used to create shock waves for use in combat, however most interestingly can be used to generate sounds. By tuning the vibrations he generates, Ampethyst is able to form soundwaves, typically in the form of sonic squeals to stun individuals, but can also be implemented to mimic noises, such as voices.
Additionally, he can launch crystals from his hands, as well as from the protrusions on his back. Though this ability is limited, the pieces are sharp enough and can be launched with enough force that they can be useful in combat, and can also act as emitters for sounds/vibrations.
History[]
Kings-10[]
- In "the Wheel of Fortune", Ampethyst was the first form Ciar Kingston transformed into upon gaining the Omnitrix, and his vibrational powers were used briefly in his fight against White Knight.
Trivia[]
- Ampethyst's name is a combination of the Crystal, Amethyst and the word Amplify (Referencing how the crystals act as an amplifier for Ampethyst's vibrational abilities).
- Ampethyst's species, Sonusapiens, are theorised to be distantly related to Petrosapiens, with one or both species not originating from their supposed homeworld. However, this is not confirmed and a source of controversy in the interstellar scientific community.
