Aloysius James Animo, known simply as Doctor Animo, is the eccentric mad geneticist who appears in Back in Action: Alien Universe.

- Aloysius Animo also exists in canon. Unless otherwise stated, all related events, roughly up until the Omniverse Season 3 finale, happened unchanged.
Back in Action: Alien Universe[]

At some point he invented the Regulator, a DNA capture tool inspired by the Omnitrix, capable of being controlled mentally by Animo. It is significantly bulkier than the Omnitrix, covering most of an adult human's body and involving large coils that wrap around the back.
In Can't Trust the Weather, Man, he is sought out by Dawn and Senator Vetteroy for a plan to control the weather. He is first moved from Plumbers HQ in Bellwood to Bellwood Precinct 2, where Dawn as Streak breaks him out. He then helps merge Senator Vetteroy's DNA with Wavelength's, only to control his mind afterwards (with Dawn's consent).
In Dusk, Dawn reveals why she broke him out - for her backup plan to extract Darkstar's DNA. It remained unseen if Ben had captured him after Dawn, Darkstar, and Android P escaped.

- In Hit and Miss, Nightcaster creates a hallucination of his Earth-10,000 form (Future Animo from canon episode Ben 10,000).
