Alan Albright is a hero in Bonds and Ben 10: Protector of the Omniverse. He first appeared in Thnks fr th Mmrs. He is a human/Pyronite hybrid from the planet Earth. He is the Timeline 1 equivalent of the canon Alan.

Appearance[]

Human Form[]

At the ages of five and six, Alan looked similar to six-year-old Alan's Omniverse appearance, but with white pants. His eyes were not dotted.

While working for the Rooters, he wore black Proto-Tech armor.

At the age of 14, Alan has his Alien Force/Ultimate Alien appearance, but he is taller and has longer hair like in Omniverse (though not styled in the same way). He also wears the same hoodie from Omniverse, but his undershirt is white. The black parts on his shoes are orange.

His colors match the color palette of Heroes United.

Pyronite Form[]

At the ages of five and six, Alan looked similar to six-year-old Alan's Omniverse appearance, but with smaller eyes and hands and a bigger forehead.

At the age of 14, Alan has his Alien Force/Ultimate Alien appearance, but he is taller. His eyes are connected to the fire on his head and he has bigger feet. More of his legs are covered by rocks, and the rock on his chest (on which his Plumber badge sits) is shaped like a flame.

His colors match the color palette of Heroes United.

Personality[]

As a young child, Alan was energetic, excitable and curious. When his memories were erased and he became an Amalgam Kid, he was more reserved. For the most part, he preferred to keep silent unless necessary; a trait he has retained as a teenager. He was also rather respectful and polite towards those older than him, most notably the Rooters, though he was defensive against specific Rooters who threatened to hurt or kill his friends such as Magister Gorvan.[1]

As a teenager, Alan is mature, easygoing, brave and loyal.

History[]

Prior to Bonds[]

Several months after Adriel and Adalia married, they decided they wanted a child, thus beginning a long streak of them trying and failing to conceive. They eventually succeeded and had Alan. However, there was a chance that Alan would not live longer than a few weeks, as he was born too early. Although he pulled through, Adriel and Adalia did not want to take any chances and therefore raised him very carefully and protectively.

Bonds[]

In Thnks fr th Mmrs, Adriel returned from a mission on Lepidopterra with a plant he found. He gave it to Adalia as an apology for being too busy. Adalia then gave it to Alan, explaining to Adriel that he missed him while he was gone. She then told Alan to put it in his room. Her parents agreed, so she went to break the news to Alan, only to find him on the ground unconscious. Adriel took one look and realized no ordinary doctor would be able to cure him. He retrieved the Null Void Projector his friend (and, unbeknownst to him, a reluctant ally of a powerful group known as the Rooters) Servantis had given him 19 years prior and went into Incarcecon with Alan.

After examining Alan, Servantis discovered that Alan's body temperature had dropped dramatically and fused him with Pyronite DNA to increase his temperature and save his life. He gave Adriel some private time with Alan, during which Adriel comforted him and convinced him to go to sleep. Meanwhile, Servantis was contacted by a Rooter named Magister Gorvan, who instructed him to keep Alan as the Rooters planned to restart the Amalgam Kids, a group formed purely to do the Rooters' bidding under the guise of doing good. Servantis later returned and Adriel explained what happened. Servantis told Adriel that he should leave Alan with him in Incarcecon to help him master his powers.

Adriel returned home with Alan, bringing Servantis with him to help explain the situation to his wife, Adalia. She was very distraught by what had happened to Alan, but insisted that he should stay with them, whereas Adriel felt it was safer for him to be with Servantis. Distressed by the sight of his parents arguing, Alan concentrated and was able to revert to human. This gave Adriel hope that Alan could live with him and Adalia after all. Seemingly out of nowhere, Servantis electrocuted Alan and Adalia and apologized to Adriel before electrocuting him too. He erased two hours' worth of memories from Adriel and Adalia's mind and went back to the Null Void with Alan and the plant that Adriel brought back from Lepidopterra. There, he was greeted by Magister Wheels, along with her two adopted kids, Helen and Pierce. She informed him that he was being assigned a new job at their headquarters; to oversee the new Amalgam Kids, consisting of Alan, Helen and Pierce.

On the same day, Servantis altered Alan's memories to make him believe his parents were dead and fused Helen and Pierce with the DNA of a Kineceleran and an unknown species, respectively. He subsequently moved into Rooter Headquarters and started training the Amalgam Kids. In his free time, he researched the Lepidopterran plant and discovered that it induces hypothermia if handled too carelessly, explaining why Alan's temperature dropped when he touched it.

Almost three months later, in Cool Kids, Servantis pitted Helen and Pierce against each other in a training session, which Alan spectated. After Pierce won, Servantis revealed that the Rooters were sending the Amalgam Kids on their first mission. He later joined Magister Coronach in debriefing the kids about the mission, stating that their objective was to retrieve the Conquest Ray from the leader of the Incurseans, Emperor Milleous. On the way to the space cafe Fllrton where Milleous was having a drink, Pierce confided in Helen, doubting that they would succeed. Servantis interrupted him through comms and assured him that he had the necessary skills to lead the Amalgam Kids to success. He also stated that he would guide them on the mission.

However, as soon as the kids arrived at Fllrton, Servantis muted himself at the request of the Rooters, as they wanted the Amalgam Kids to fail the mission. The kids managed to follow Milleous back to the Incursean ship by disguising themselves as Incurseans with the use of ID masks, at which point the latter ordered to have them seized and removed their masks as he did not fall for the act. Helen used her enhanced speed to bring the team a good distance away from Milleous. Pierce decided to fight off the Incurseans, while Alan and Helen went in separate directions to find the Conquest Ray. Alan eventually found the Incursean Commmander, Raff, and demanded him to disclose the location of the Conquest Ray. Luckily for him, Helen showed up moments later with the Conquest Ray (which was actually a decoy) in hand and ran off with Alan to find Pierce.

With little warning, the decoy Conquest Ray exploded, injuring Helen, therefore rendering her unconscious, and destroying some parts of the ship. Pierce arrived at the scene and before long, the kids were surrounded by Milleous, as well as the Incurseans and their commander, Raff. Milleous threatened to kill Helen if Alan and Pierce did not surrender. As soon as they did, Servantis, Magister Wheels and Magister Coronach invaded the ship and brought the kids back to Rooter Headquarters. Servantis later visited Alan to console him. He told him that his parents would not be disappointed in him for failing the mission. Curious, Alan asked to know more about them, but Servantis insisted that he would divulge more information soon. Wanting to improve his mastery over his powers, he asked Servantis to train him, and he obliged.

Over a year later, in Verge, Servantis informed the Amalgam Kids that their latest mission, which the Rooters had previously stated was important, was canceled. Dissatisfied with the explanation given, the kids decided to snoop around to get answers by disabling the camera in the elevator to access the restricted levels. Alan and Pierce went to sub-level 2, only to be greeted by Servantis, who told them to return to their rooms. Magister Gorvan and Magister Leander arrived at the scene. Magister Gorvan reprimanded the boys for disobeying orders, and soon realized that Helen wasn't with them. He checked the cameras and saw Helen taking their prisoner, Trystan, out of the interrogation room in which he was held. He made an announcement to notify the rest of the Rooters and told Servantis to take the boys back to their rooms. They tried to stand their ground, but Servantis electrocuted them to knock them out. The two Magisters then left to find Helen.

Contrary to what he was told to do, Servantis left Alan and Pierce on the ground and went to find Helen as well. Alan was later woken up by the sound of Pierce screaming in pain. Magister Coronach then arrived at the scene and scolded Alan for being in a restricted area. He soon took notice of Pierce's condition and, after examining him, brought him to the operating room for further study and sedated him, with Alan tagging along. Servantis brought Helen, who was also in pain, to the room and performed a scan on her and Pierce. With that, his theory that the probes Magister Wheels injected into their bodies when they were adopted were the source of their pain was confirmed. He sedated Helen and confessed to killing Magister Wheels to Magister Coronach, who grew furious. Servantis ultimately managed to convince him to help him save Helen and Pierce. Magister Chang and Phil soon found them and demanded to know the truth, but Servantis and Magister Coronach lied.

Magister Gorvan came shortly after that and revealed that he found Magister Wheels' body, and that he killed Trystan. To balance the scales, he intended to kill Servantis and the Amalgam Kids, as he claimed they were of no use because Magister Wheels, who came up with the idea in the first place, was dead. Magister Chang agreed, but Magister Coronach and Phil did not. Phil transformed into his Terroranchula form and trapped Magister Chang in a web before engaging in a battle with Magister Gorvan with Alan's help. This gave Servantis a chance to focus on saving Helen and Pierce. He explained to Magister Coronach that the probes were overloading their pain receptors, killing them slowly. He began writing a program to make the probes attack each other, which proved successful. He persuaded Magister Coronach to set the Amalgam Kids free, admitting that he cared about them and that he did not want them to suffer the same fate as the original Amalgam Kids. Magister Coronach agreed, so Servantis erased a year's worth of memories from Alan's mind and almost all of Helen and Pierce's memories. He personally brought Alan home and restored Adriel and Adalia's memories.

Adalia brought Alan inside while Servantis talked to Adriel outside. Overwhelmed with emotions, she decided that their family had to move away, and began packing Alan's things. When Adriel entered the house, she told him to do the same with his own things, announcing that they were moving away. Adriel advised her to think rationally and promised to find a good place far away, adding that they had only just gotten Alan back and they should at least spend some time with him before thinking about anything else. Adalia relented and they both took comfort in finally having their son back.

Days later, the Albright family moved to Grover's Mill.

Prior to Protector of the Omniverse[]

Approximately two years after the Albrights moved to Grover's Mill, Adalia gave birth to Alan's younger brother, Aaron.

A year after that, at the age of nine, Alan began to go through puberty, several years before most normal boys would. While Alan accepted this rather easily (albeit not fully comprehending how his body would change), Adriel and Adalia feared that it would somehow cause his Pyronite powers to re-activate.

This came true about two weeks prior to the Alien Force episode Everybody Talks About the Weather, when Alan woke up one morning and his bed was on fire. Adriel put out the fire and told Alan that he had Pyronite DNA, though he neglected to mention how he got it. To prevent him from being attacked if he was seen in his Pyronite form, Adriel gave him his Plumber badge. Unbeknownst to the Albright family, Alan's Pyronite DNA resurfacing caused his human form to go through puberty early, instead of the other way around. This is because Pyronites go through puberty at a younger age than humans.

Alan went through some of the same events as his canon equivalent, as depicted in the episodes Everybody Talks About the Weather, War of the Worlds: Part 1 and War of the Worlds: Part 2. Afterwards, he spent several months being trained by Max with the rest of the Plumbers' Helpers.

With Max's help, the Plumbers' Helpers were then made into an official group, consisting of children and teenagers who are too young to be official Plumbers but still wish to help the universe in some way.

Powers and Abilities[]

Alan is able to switch between his human and Pyronite forms at will. He shares many powers and abilities with Heatblast, such as projecting fire.

Alan can project fire from his hands and feet to propel himself through the air, although he is not as skilled at it as Heatblast.

Alan can channel flames through other surfaces (such as large rocks) to generate jet propulsion, allowing them to 'surf' through the air.

Alan has demonstrated that he is able to spit lava in his human form.

Weaknesses[]

Like all Pyronites, Alan can be temporarily extinguished by water.

Alan can also be put out by strong winds.

Alan isn't able to transform into his Pyronite form if he is too cold.

Like Heatblast, Alan cannot hold things in his hands without burning them, unless he was in his human form.
