First Appearance | Don't Be an Airhead |
Airhead is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Phistoill from the planet Steaphensonn, created by SOULARCHER20.
Appearance[]
Airhead is a humanoid alien with a maroon cylindrical body with a grey valve and 3 furnace slits on his chest, in which the slits are surrounded by a green stripe surrounding his body akin to a belt. He has silver spherical shoulders and dark green rubbery arms ending in large cylindrical containers consisting of maroon ends and durable glass. His legs are similar in design to his arms, except they lack the shoulders and have silver feet instead of hands. His eyes take the form of bolts that hold his head, positioned on a large silver rim with a grey respirator at the centre of it. His head is constantly filled with steam, and has a silver top where the Omnitrix is located.
Personality[]
Airhead is prideful of his abilities, but he has a tendency to make foolish mistakes. He also isn't the smartest alien, and tends to be slightly boastful and forgetful. This personality is slightly diluted when Airhead's a transformation.
Powers and Abilities[]
Airhead possesses a physiology similar to that of a steam engine, meaning that he possesses a furnace and boiler inside of him to project high amounts of steam. This steam can be vented out of the sealable holes on his palms and soles, allowing Airhead to fire powerful jets of hot steam that can burn skin or push large metallic structures should a strong concentration be used. He can also fire steam from the vent on his chest.
Because of his lightweight body, Airhead can fly using his steam blasts to propel him. He can also use this propulsion to speed up moving structures he is located at, such as cars or small carts. Airhead's flight is more stable when ejecting steam from his sole holes, using his arms to balance his flight.
Airhead's head is detachable, either by unscrewing it or launching it with high pressure. His head acts as a dome to direct the steam from his boiler to his limbs, meaning that removing it would only allow him to release a weaker cloud of steam from his neck, which he is capable of using as a smokescreen with slight burns on skin as a result of contact.
In addition to releasing steam, Airhead is capable of absorbing water through his limb holes. He can also be used as a sieve, evaporating water to reveal small objects inside of them, which can be removed from his boiler by detaching his head.
Because of his screwable head, Airhead is capable of rotating his body in a full circle. He can also fire steam in multiple directions and use the gyrating momentum of his steam propulsion and rotating head to create a powerful steam tornado, which he can use as a last resort as his head would be detached after prolonged spinning.
By releasing steam while his holes are all sealed, Airhead is capable of inflating his limbs like balloons in exchange for his limbs losing their enhanced flexibility, due to their rubbery form. When inflated, Airhead becomes denser and buoyant, allowing him to be used as a small raft or melee weapon for allies until he releases the stored steam.
Airhead is capable of rapidly regenerating the water in his boiler which is rapidly burned, as well as reigniting the fire in his furnace should it be extinguished. The strength of his fire increases based on his emotions, giving him more powerful steam blasts.
Because of the position of his eyes on his body, Airhead is capable of seeing in multiple directions at once. Additionally, Airhead lacks the need for oxygen, allowing him to survive underwater or in the vacuum of space.
Airhead possesses enhanced durability, as he is capable of withstanding firing himself into a wall. The glass on his cylinders are all unbreakable, preventing them from being shattered by high force, thus turning them into powerful ballistic weapons in close combat. He is also able to withstand extreme temperatures.
While his fingers aren't sharp, they are strong enough to grip into surfaces to create handholds for climbing. His feet are also slightly prehensile, as they are capable of gripping each other tightly.
Airhead can slightly be turned into a car by detaching his head, gripping his hands and feet together and using his rotatable wrist and ankle cylinders as wheels. He provides enough strength to carry a single human and move at a speed of up to 30mph while carrying one.
Weaknesses[]
If Airhead gets to worked up, the fire in his body may cause him to produce high pressure, which can forcefully fire his head of his body. His head can also be forcefully screwed off, preventing him from releasing steam from his limbs due to his head being the dome. When the Omnitrix times out, Ben's human form will be where Airhead's head is, making it easy for enemies to capture him as his head is defenceless when detached.
As his body is heated by a furnace, Airhead possesses body heat which can be tracked, or slightly harm allies that touch him.
Airhead is unable to neutralise the unneeded steam, forcing him to release it from his chest valve in small amounts. This steam may be a visual locater to find his location.
Airhead's furnace is vulnerable to being extinguished, preventing him from projecting steam, though he is capable of reigniting it. However, he is extremely vulnerable in areas without oxygen despite surviving in these areas, which prevent his furnace from reigniting and thus stopping him from fighting back with steam.
When Airhead inflates his limbs, he loses the ability to move normally unless he releases all the steam inside of him.
As mentioned above, Airhead is prideful and foolish, which makes him slightly vulnerable when thinking skills are required. As such, Ben would often have to come up with a plan before turning into Airhead due to the latter's inability to think properly. Airhead is also quite forgetful in certain aspects, such as forgetting to unseal his hand holes before firing steam.
When Ben first turned into Airhead, he had some difficulty in flying for a while with his hands. Also, sometimes Ben would get a headache after he turns back from Airhead.
History[]
- In Omniorigins, Airhead was unlocked when Azmuth unlocked Ben's second playlist.
- Airhead first appeared in Don't Be an Airhead, where he trained unsuccessfully. Later, Airhead battled The Clocktopus Mark II, but was captured and subsequently used to power it until he turned into Jumbat. Finally, Airhead was used to destroy The Clocktopus by giving it so much steam until it explodes.
- In Pedal to the Metal, Airhead tried to help Stuart fight Hornwheel, but was used to tow the latter back to Bellwood instead.

Etymology[]
An Airhead is a term used for a foolish person, referring to Airhead's personality. It is also because his head is literally full of hot air.
Trivia[]
- Airhead was the first alien from Ben's second playlist to be designed and have his powers thought of.
- Airhead's design resembles that of AJ Carmichael from The Umbrella Academy. His powers are similar to that of Volcanion from Pokemon.
- His voice is similar to Diesel from Thomas and Friends, albeit slightly deeper. Ironically, Diesel is a diesel engine who dislikes steam engines.
- Technically speaking, Stuart was the one who named Airhead.
- After firing a steam blast, a bell sound can be heard.
