Lol I'm hyped for every animated DC movie. They're always great.
I binge-read Injustice Year 5 last night and am up to date. Only took me an hour to read all 31 chapters; thank god they have short pages.
IM SUPER EXCITED FOR JLD! but kinda wish they swapped Black Orchid for Madame Xanadu and Constantine for Andrew Bennet...and Deadman for Spectre/Phantom Stranger

What the hell. Are you sure you weren't skimming?
Definitely wasn't skimming. Have you read Injustice comics? They have like, at the most, 4 panels a page with mostly action and only about 18 pages a chapter. I could explain exactly what happened in order to prove that it wasn't skimming, but that'd be kinda stupid and spoilers so yep.
I read Year Two in one day, but it wasn't an hour, but yeah, now I get what you mean.
Is anyone else a little upset that Suicide Squad got negative reviews? While I'm still watching the movie (I liked Batman v. Superman even after those reviews came out), it's just a little unfortunate that this movie didn't win the critics over. This was supposed to stabilize the DCEU, not make it look worse. I think the trailers oversold the movie. If you compare the first ever trailer we got from last year's Comic-Con to the newer, quirky ones, you can see that there are very obvious differences, tone-wise. The newer ones were meant to showcase the fun, which was obviously to make the movie seem lighter than BvS. What do you guys think?
I haven't seen it yet, but considering that fans of the movie petitioned to have Rotten Tomatoes shut down for giving the movie a negative rating, you're definitely not the only one that's a bit upset.
I'm starting to wonder if the DCEU is a loss cause for a few reasons.
“ | So suit up for a film that was so highly anticipated, it could never have lived up to the hype. That had to deliver the fight fans had wanted to see on the big screen for decades, address the controversy around Man of Steel, make enough money to complete with Marvel, be a sequel to Man of Steel and a Batman Solo movie, pander to jar-of-pee enthusiasts, form the Justice League, introduce: Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, Lex Luthor, Parademons...? Doomsday? Steppenwolf? The Death of Superman?! Whose idea was it to cram all of this into one movie?! They just burned through six movies worth of good material!!! | ” |

Now on the plus side, it seemed like Suicide Squad was gonna be a nice fresh breath of air. But once again, those darn expectations and standards got in the way. I mean.... look at this. http://prnt.sc/c1ledg
So yeah, I'm contemplating how long the DCEU will last. But at least we still have Wonder Woman and Justice League.... right?

There's also the possibility that the film just pretty much sucks and isn't a good film at all, but come on, let me live in my fanboy denial for a little bit longer. I don't have a good superhero film until Doctor Strange comes out, and if Mig's userpage is any indication, that's a REALLY long time!
Hail Scidra.
